Euros 2025 - Pairs FS: ‘Can You Hear The Drums, Filippo’

I think this is the strongest team in the world. I think they can still improve their speed but I think the packaging and choreography for both programs is very strong.

The only thing I think keeping them from a World title is Miura & Kihara doing a clean SP (they have the best one, that's for sure) and distancing themselves just enough to hold on for a win.

MiNiki - she glittered her hair... 3tw - beautiful; SBS 3t+2a+2a - she was off balance on every single jump landing; SBS 3s - good; throw 3lo - gorgeous; first lift - good; FODS - why do these teams do that position when it's usually ugly????? Pairs spin - nice speed throughout, so I can't really nitpick; second lift - excellent; throw 3s - great; that should do it for them... I feel like the music does the heavy lifting for them; final lift nice; but, frankly, they could have been skating to any other piece of classical music for all of the connection they showed with it.

Yes, I rewatched Shiskova/Naumov this morning and their unison, finish, and elegant positions are in a different league than what modern teams do (or what modern rules allow).
That's part of it for sure, but there's nothing in the rulebook keeping skaters from straightening their legs during lifts or getting in and out of positions without looking like they're trying to climb over a fence...

And, so ends another very enjoyable day of skating. See you tomorrow for the RD and Women's fs. Really looking forward to both events.

Please, people, put your glasses on and look closely at Nikita Volodin so there's no question over PSOTY in 11 months.
I was silently thanking the camera person for the shot of his butt just before the music began. It was a lovely curve…. He does have a largish chin, though.

ISU needs to reduce the value of a FODS lvl 4 to like 0.5. NOW.

With all these multinational teams, who is actually eligible to go to the Olys, citizenship wise?
