Yes I think Zarah turned 17 this season. But I’m not sure she and Alex will be ready for seniors, they were brand new to pairs.

I really hope the +Axel + Axel stuff goes away for the pairs. I know I have ranted about it before but it just is sooooo ugly 95% of the time, the distance goes from a few yards to a mile, the directions go every which way with no kind of timing, etc. And with Conti & Macii they always have this split second before the second and third jumping pass where they (she especially) gives a very obvious pause and reset to see if they are actually going for it or not.

This is not an anti-Metelkina & Berulava thing at all because I like them just fine, but that program is a bunch of nothing and I've said as much all year. PCS should be nowhere near where it is. I'd even give the Hungarians the PR and CO mark.

ConMac - I'm the only person on FSU who doesn't hate the starburst Yentl costumes, lol. 3tw - great; SBS 3t+2a+2a - Niccolo stepped out on the last one, but great otherwise; SBs 3s - clean! First lift - good; throw 3lo - gorgeous; second lift - excellent; throw 3s - clean! FIDS - lovely; last lift - great; choreo seq - Rungarians need to see this to see how it's done; pairs spin - actually quite lovely and well choreographed to the music.

I approve! They laid it DOWN!

Yes, I rewatched Shiskova/Naumov this morning and their unison, finish, and elegant positions are in a different league than what modern teams do (or what modern rules allow).

In some ways I think the Italians are better but Hase/Volodin's technique is just beautiful
