Embedded video messing up landing on “new” posts

I’ve noticed that when I click on a thread, it momentarily takes me to the newest post, then jumps back several posts as embedded content loads, so I have to scroll back to the new post. Using Safari on iPad running 16.1.3. Is there any way to stop it from doing that?

The thread where I notice it most is when I check in on the “News and updates on Russia’s war on Ukraine” Like I said, it will take me to the first new post, then jump back several posts as the embeds load.

We had a thread about this before but I can't find it. It's not a new issue, if @Server Guy was wondering.

Indeed, it's not a new issue.

I think for the time being, the only real way to "fix" it is to prevent links like that from loading their content in the post and instead require folks to click the link.
