What an experience it's been for them in Pyeongchang and to end their skating careers competing in arguably the deepest pairs field of all time and coming out as one of the top pairs. Canada is so proud. Congrats! Congrats! and Congrats!

To all their detractors, i'd like to say... S#*@ it!

I readily admit I was never their biggest fan but I am super happy with them ending their career in grand style. An Olympic Gold and their individual Olympic bronze, so the only 2 things missing from their career (Oly Gold and an individual Olympic medal) achieved. I doubt they will even go to the Worlds, so this is the perfect ending, and a great tribute to their determination.

I hope they get credit, even from their critics, for pushing the envelope in technical difficulty in pairs skating. More teams than ever are now attempting triple lutzes, throw triple lutzes and throw triple axels/quads, and quad twists, and that is mostly because of them.
