So there's Jason! I missed him on the broadcast! Thanks Sylvia! :respec:

I love Jason's enthusiasm. His performance of "Can't Stop the Feeling" in St. Paul Sunday was one of the highlights of the show for me. Adam's my Olympic crush, but I just really like Jason. He seems like such a sweet soul.

It says this about turning down worlds. I think the article is right in that he is always so upbeat and positive in his demeanor, we didn't get the sense of how devastated he was about not making the Olympic team. This also hints to me that coaching upheaval may have been the part he isn't able to share at this time.
While Brown says he isn’t able to share all of the reasons for that decision at this time, he did tell Figure Skaters Online that a big component for that decision was his mental state.
“I wasn’t in a mental space that was worth put myself through it again (competing),” he explained. (As Worlds drew closer), I was finally starting to feel happy and gain perspective and feel good about myself, but I wasn’t at that point to be put right back into the spotlight and I felt like I needed to allow myself to have that space.”
And from this, sounds like he just hasn't decided everything yet:
While he did not specifically address the rumor that he may have left longtime coach Kori Ade, Brown did say he is taking this time while on tour to explore various options for next season.

Yeah, that was a difficult day for many. I certainly would have enjoyed Jason on the team - Max, too. Unfortunately, just 3 spots. My wish for a situation like this would be to add a couple of places instantly... I hope Jason can put everything that is uncomfortable or stressful (at the moment) behind him, soon and work toward building new, positive memories in the quad to come. I’m confident that he knows how much joy he brings to so many people.

Here's a cute interaction between Jason and a fan at last night's show in Seattle:

Also, Jason responded to a fan who mentioned the lack of split jumps in his program:

I am so glad you loved the show! And sadly I have a sprained ankle ...I can’t pick/jump off of the foot yet! Trying my best to manage the pain and still perform as best I can! Sorry about no split jumps!!! Hopefully I’ll be able to jump again soon!!!

We've known a while about the ankle but I don't think Jason's been given enough credit for staying so positive and such a beam of light during performances and M&Gs while in such pain. I've had a sprained ankle and just walking was painful. I can't even imagine the pain he's in doing the moves he does even without the jumps. Today's the last show. All the best to him as he rests and recovers! :)

Skaters in New Jersey must be excited to have Jason there today for this fundraiser :) - ETA Jason's group photo afterwards: https://www.instagram.com/p/Bj20aeBBNbx/?taken-by=jasonbskates

Jason participated in Audrey Weisiger's Grassroots to Champions seminar in St. Peters, Missouri, on June 3-4 (some photos: https://www.facebook.com/SPFSA/posts/1907244312632526 ) and I saw on his official website that Jason (and his mom) will be at Weisiger's G2C camp in Yorktown, VA during the last week of June: https://grassrootstochampions.com/training-camp/
