I'm cross-posting this into here from my YouTube thread because I figured there might be a few adult skaters who would be interested in watching this. In 1989 John Curry filmed a five-part series entitled Curry on Ice where he coached a group of mixed ability skaters in skating skills, jumping and spinning technique. It provides a great insight into John's own brilliant skating and even all this time later, there is so much we adult skaters can learn from it. Here is a link to the playlist.

The man's demonstration of the basics of skating is so exquisite.

My two favorite parts were watching a full Janet Lynn program (to Debussy) and then Curry asking if they had ever seen anything so lovely and getting an I-wish-I-could-skate-like-that-(with-triples-of-course) response was priceless.
