Today was my annual retirees luncheon at the CC!
First order of business and this was a real toughie! Since I am no longer inclined to multitask, I had the most difficult task of concentrating on one of two things. And I do feel moved to ask your advice. What would you have done?
Option 1: Listen to President of Retirees Assoc. drone on about changes to a campus location, the importance of bursaries and our dwindling numbers due to death and illness....(Anyone asleep yet?)
Option 2: Watch Gabby D. in a harness ripping a triple axel.
Friend Y. and I became silly fan girls, commandeered the Figure Skating Table by the window and had a delightful time eating and watching the practices. Y. spotted Javi first ("He's so cute" in unison ), I spotted Dylan and Lubov and exchanged waves with Dylan ("He's so cute", again in unison and he really is!). Tracy and Brian were there coaching. And Stephen Gogalev and Tursynbaeva. We've never seen Hanyu in the years that we've been going but the security director there told me has had to eject rabid fans. Fun thing: all the girls dress and do their hair like Gabby and the guys all try to look like Javi. It was fun! And I don't have a clue about what is going on with my college. And I don't care!
