California shooting

I am very familiar with the SF Bay Area and I have been to Gilroy (once for a job interview and another time). Anything in the Bay Area feels like close to home. Hopefully my relatives did not go there today.
Sorry for the victims and their families.
I think many fsuers are from the Bay Area. I hope you all are safe.

ETA- 11 shot, 3 dead. :(

Very sad and senseless.... Thinking about this, thinking about the deadly, murderous anime fire in Japan, thinking about the man in China who stabbed a dozen children killing seven of them....these mass murders are so common. Was this even a thing fifty years ago?

Oh dear, dear.

This on top of two Canadian men on the lamb who are suspected of murdering a couple and maybe another person. And two American kids in Italy who shot a police officer - they were being set up for purchasing cocaine.

Maybe or maybe not, or maybe it's because we have immediate news coverage of violence (not saying we shouldn't have coverage, just that there are more news channels/reporters/internet).

How horrible, another mass shooting.

I think they stabbed that poor police officer to death and now they are turning on each other. What a surprise. The early presser for this latest shooting mentioned a possible accomplice. Any news on that?

How awful. This literally hits close to home, as I live in the Bay Area and attended the Gilroy Garlic Festival about five years back. Seemed liked such an easy going, laid back event. :(

They haven't found the suspected accomplice according to the local news this AM.

The silver lining is that it seemed like the police on the scene responded quickly and appropriately. Unlike that resource officer in Parkland.

They've changed the injured count to 12 also.

I think it's both. The coverage encourages others and also people are more angry these days. Plus guns are everywhere.
