Boikova-Kozlovski Cheer thread

What are the expectations for Europeans? I assume they're fighting for 4th place with the Italians (Della Monica/Guarise), correct? Anybody else to watch out for there?

They may be fighting Z&E for the bronze medal. However, DM&G are looking pretty good. They too could challenge for a bronze.

I think they are better than DM/G. DM/G had better results in the GP, and have a higher seasons best of 203 - but that’s an outlier. All their other results were 187, 185, 178. B/K already beat them at Lombardia (and beat Z/E in the LP there, too). They will have to skate well, and others will have to make mistakes but I see no reason why they can’t medal if they skate their best and others make small mistakes.

Now that Z/E are (sadly) out of Euros due to injury, B/K go in as the 2nd-ranked Russians. Big opportunities, Очень быстро...ochen bystro!

We barely see her...but it’s more than enough to make me cheer.

I don't think we've seen any of her since K/S retired. We're lucky she's back with such a young team, which hopefully means many more years at the boards

Watching their programs you can see her finger prints all over them. She may not have been the choreographer but when they skate you can tell they're her team. And after a number of years away, and witnessing the faceless Mozer teams, the old really does feel exciting again :cheer2:

I am a bit concerned because of Enbert’s injury. With Z&E out, the responsibility to retain three spots falls on T&M and B&K. Definitely at Euros and probably at worlds. Can a young pair like B&K handle the pressure?

ITA. I’ve been wondering why I’ve never been able to truly get excited about the Mozer teams. Little musicality or heart? This young team has “IT” and speaks to our souls. Get them on the Euros and Worlds podiums NOW. God grant Tamara Moskvina many years!

Good question. I hope they can manage, not only to keep the 3 spots but if they can it will benefit them as a Pair as well.

Well they got a taste of it at Internationaux de France.

They unexpectedly led after the short and the long unfortunately didn't go so well. I suspect the pressure got to them a bit there. But in the end better off to learn and experience it there rather then at the big events. Hopefully they did take something from that and will handle it better next time.

They should get used to it :) I am hoping to see them as Russian # 1 pair soon. I like them so much, individually and as a pair. I agree that it would be a much more relaxing experience with Z/E there, but now they have a better chance to medal too.

Interview with Aleksandra about her blog on youtube
https://www.sports.ru/tribuna/blogs/russiateam/2307057.html

This summer she started a blog on Youtube in which she shares her opinion and thoughts on Russian classic literature ('War and Peace', 'A Hero of Our Time', 'Oblomov', 'Woe from Wit' and etc). She also likes 'The Little Prince' and Jack London's novels
Sasha also says that she just loves reading (her father gave her the love for books and has a collection of 200 books in his home library) and would like to get a degree in journalism in the future.

I also found an interesting interview back from 2017, in which they talk about their hobbies and first steps on the ice (pics :swoon:)
Dmitriy was training in Mishin's group, but at the age of 15 he switched to pair skating and came to Moskvina.
Aleksandra started skating at the age of 4 in Elena Klimova's group (Fedor Klimov's mother). Then she was also coached by Mishin and met Dima at the rink. When she switched to pairs, the coaches teamed them up.
Aleksandra is fluent in English and has been learning German for some time, she also is interested in photography and drawing (she had been studying at Hermitage art school for 6 years). He is a fan of ballet, loves Mariinsky and Grand Opera.
The last book she has read (at that time) was Carnegie's "How to Win Friends and Influence People", he - lord Chesterfield's "Letters to His Sone".

In that interview Dmitrii stated that he would like to study international relation in the future - if i remember correctly, he is now indeed getting a degree in that sphere at one of St Petersburg universities :)

Gotta love a girl who knows her classic literature!

I had no idea she was coached by Fedor Klimov’s mother as a little girl! Even more ironic that now she’s coached by Minchuk. Everyone knows everyone in St. Petersburg pairs!

NBCSN didn’t show pairs, just Ladies. I will wait for the videos.

Happy to see them in the final group.
