I finished
O Pioneers! by Willa Cather, and I highly recommend. Just beautiful. The way she writes about the land, the people, and their relationships with each other was stunning. And it's easy to access for free on
gutenberg.org.
I liked this book, too. Very different, but sometimes amusing and definitely thought provoking. The ending felt abrubt; reminded me of
A Doll's House, where there's this tremendous defining moment and that's it, the end.
Thank you for the recommendation.
I've been thinking about reading this so thank you for the recommendation. I've never read any of her books, but the cover of this one with the cherry pie looks very inviting!
