Airplane mechanic steals plane, crashes

It is believed the mechanic's lack of flying skills led to the crash, Troyer said.

Kind of defeats the purpose of stealing it in the first place.

I'm surprised that he was able to handle the take off (which is supposed to be one of the hardest things about flying) but not the plane once it was in the air.
