Air Quality Warning

My eyes have been sore all day, and I'm wondering if it could somehow be the air quality, even though I haven't been outside much. The only other option I can think of is the UV light traps we're using to get rid of a plague of gnats, but Dr. Google says that's probably not it.

My eyes are dry and irritated with the smoke .. I only have to be outside a moment. Even Indoors it still has that effect.

If you’re getting headaches too, it could be the smoke. It was for me even before I could smell it. It takes away a lot of the low energy I already have.

Many people are talking about Corsi boxes to clean the air indoors. I looked at HEPA filter machines. Everything takes effort and is costly.

Can you tell the whole thing is hitting my morale hard?

Hazy and code red in DC this morning. I wore the smoke days mask I got last time when I walked my dog. I'm glad I got those as it keeps me from having my airways irritated.

The day started off nice, but smoke is coming our way again so we just closed all the windows again. I hate having my windows closed.

And we are now at a rating of 9. Just 4 hours ago we had supper outside on the patio and it was only the tiniest bit hazy. The smoke shifts about so fast!

I think many of us who grew up in the 60's and 70's before environmental measures went into place realize how much of a privilege it is.

Or who live with asthma. Even on the best days - I will have windows closed.
