Adelina skates in the Worlds Exhibition shows in Osaka(April 5-6th), and added to the cast of Super Stars on Ice show in Sapporo(April 7-9th) as well. Good for her! It's the season of cherry blossom in Japan. Hope she'll enjoy her shows there.

March 31 at the Ice Palace took an unprecedented event - the first time after the Olympics in Sochi and the 2014 World Cup came to St. Petersburg most famous skaters who brought Russia awards.

Gathered in the hall a lot of fans of figure skating, which were enthusiastically welcomed each and every single pair of athlete. One of the most anticipated on the ice, of course, was Adelina Sotnikova star which fully opened in Sochi. Young brilliantly talented figure skater and just a very nice girl won millions then sticking to the TV and are in the stadium Fischt. Phenomenal result turned-Adeline became the first in the history of Soviet and Russian Olympic champion in the women's figure skating in the individual standings. After an emotional speech Adeline still did not let journalists who asked whether her life has changed after the Olympic gold? "Of course, changed!" - Confirmed the skater.

Sotnikov: to keep at the top, you need to complicate program

I already have a blueprint program for next season. Will complicate my programs, performing two 3+3 combinations in the free program. I want to learn a quadruple toe loop, although not fulfill its promise in the near future.

Why not fix the flutz and work on rotating the tail end of the 3lutz3toe so she can put a more difficult 3+3 in the SP instead of a 3toe3toe??? :drama:

According to the judges it doesn't matter how easy the combination is in the short, you will still get the same points as someone doing a tougher combination.. I think Janet Lynn should come out of retirement to get her elusive gold medal in Korea.. She can do a double double combo , dazzle the judges with her skating skills and will probably be top 3 after the short..

Something strange is going on. Whenever I try to quote Apatinar's post #245, part of the quote appears as a quote by ME. I had to delete 3 posts for this reason. It's weird.

My response to Apartinar was- why post this in an Uber thread when there are plenty of hateraid type threads about Sotnikova?

It's because apartinar didn't "quote" it properly, so it came out wrong when you quoted it also.

I was devastated seeing all the personal attacks and mocking from groups of idiots/riots(I don't mean FSUers) and Korean media. I've been annoyed for a few quads seeing the same kind of things as a fan of skaters who won over Kim.

And I thought I can't stand a quad more and it might be the proper time for me to quit following figure skating. Reading this interview, Adelina seems strong enough and is not expected to be very polite. Also Russian media is gonna be on Adelina's side. It's kinda relief for me. I might stick around a quad more.

As for her new exhibition program Black Swan, people who saw it live in Osaka said she skated great. It's kinda experimental one but sounds people were moved by her abilities as an artist. I loved her oblivion so much but can it be even better one? Shame I can't see it live anytime soon.

It seems she did minor change of her costume. I read some reports about her performances in Japan and found the choreography of "Black Swan" was a bit changed as well, maybe. Reports said she didn't take off her see-through cloth in the end of the program as she did in the video you posted on this thread.

I never think her costume is ugly. This number is one of the most tweeted one by Japanese figure skating fans who saw the shows held in this April. For me her Black Swan and Mirai's "Demons" are the two I was moved the most.
