2026 U.S. Sectional Singles & Pairs/Dance Finals

Awwww. Mixed bag for Skylar. Looks like she’s growing and adjusting. Not sure if it will be enough to make nationals. So much to like though. She surely has a bright future. Is she eligible for the JR Grand Prix next year?
Yes, she will be! She turns 13 in December. Deborah Liu (1st novice) will also be eligible next year. She turns 13 in April. Excited for the future!

Erhard

Som nice musicality to start, 3t-2t, 3s, 2z-2a spin out; nice program composition making use of transitions, several intentional doubles

Lautowa-Peguero

3z-2t with small delay between jumps, popped flip, 3s, fall on loop, 3f, 3r-1a-1?a, nice comeback

Iwase

I missed quite a lot of her program, nice delicate presence and landed the jumps at the end of the program

ETA: if I heard her correctly, she said, “I was proud about everything” in k-n-c

Sharpe

3z-1r-2s stepout, solo triples and having to dig deep on landings, and the wheels are coming off, 3 falls

Bezkorovainaya

3z fall, 2a-3t fall :(, 3f-2t, 3r, 3z turns out 2t—I feel like there were too many steps between but maybe it was just turns and she kept the free leg up; gotta give her credit—she’s still expressing the program

Madison is very expressionless in comparison, but she does have some nice arm movements. And she's landing stuff!

5th place is always so hard ( :( for Skylar) but Madison Chong, Kaya Tiernan, Mia Iwase & Sofia Bezkorovainaya are deserving of their final placement/scores and their trip to St. Louis!

Lucius - popped his opening quad; clean 3a; and down on his last jumping pass so no combo at all.

Lucius is trying a 2 quad SP here since he has nothing to lose.

ETA: 2S, big 3A, 4T fall. In 3rd.

After group 1:
Michelle Lee: 3Lz+2T, 2A, 3S - 55.10
Ava Ziegler: 1Lz+2T, 3F fall, 2A - 50.94

Erica "YN" Machida: 3Lz+2T, 2A, 3Lo - all jumps with both arms clasped overhead - and some really cool movements to her music!
:cheer2:
58.83 - she and Jonathan Cassar are delighted! :) Into 1st with 2 groups left after the resurfacing break.

ETA: She had the free skate of her career at LA Autumn Classic NQS in early October, landing 7 triples/121.38 in FS, 170.66 total.

Jasmine Clarke had the top NQS score (180.08) in the Eastern section of the Senior women competing here, ahead of Machida and Ziegler. Jasmine is a first year Sr. and coached by Malinina/Skorniakov.

Next 2 in the NQS rankings are Juliana Barshay (149.37) and Jessica Choy (146.59).

Sophie Joline von Felten did not compete in the NQS series -- she had a bye to Easterns due to her JGP season.
