2026 U.S. Sectional Singles & Pairs/Dance Finals

Patrick's jumps: 4T fall, 3A, 1A+3?A, 2T+3T, 3Lz+1Eu+3S, 3F turnout, 3Lo.
In the kiss & cry: "I was able to recover for the first time in my life."
141.70 in FS, 222.60 1st.

ETA that his 4T was called 'q' by the tech. panel and my eyes did not deceive me - it was a 1A+3A!

Sasha's jumps: 3S, 1Lz+2T, 3F landing not held, 3Lz fall, 3Lo+2A+2Lo, 2A+3T, 3Lo - finished strongly! With his extensive ballet experience, Firebird is an excellent vehicle for him! 126.56 in FS, 193.01 3rd.

I am just not understanding how Caleb's FS was just one point above Patrick's. I thought for sure Caleb closed the 7 point deficit from the SP.
Pretty sure that Patrick's two 3As offset any gain Caleb had with his solo 4T.

Zachary's jumps: 2A, 3Lo, 3F+2T, 1F, 3Lz+3T, 3Lz fall, 3S.
115.61 in FS, 178.88 4th!

Congrats to him on making it back to Nationals in Junior since his 11th place finish as a Novice in 2023!

Caleb. Gorgeous in every way. Posture and camel spins :encore: Beautiful quad. Get this man a triple axel stat!

Blackwell. Amazed he didn’t completely implode and lose control of the program. Such an exciting aggressive skater. The single axel into a triple axel amazing on the fly. Reminds me so much of Keegan Messing in early days. On the verge of losing control…so aggressive. If he gains control, lookout. Would have had Caleb higher in free.

Fegan. Love to watch him. Yes growth, and new coaching all showing in his jumps. But he is still gorgeous to watch. His camel spin positions are to die for. Is his younger brother still skating?

Yeah, I suppose. That 1A+3A was a nice save.
I assume that was meant to be 3A combo (with a double or triple of some sort). His performance was just messy. Caleb should have scored much higher in PCS. We'll see what the protocols show.

ETA: And the judges gave them identical PCS. Uh, no, just no.

Patrick's 4T was called q, Caleb's was clean.

Yeah, I thought Caleb got underscored in PCS in the SP. I wonder if the same will be true here. Caleb popped a 3Lz, but Patrick popped one triple into a single, and another triple into a double. Waiting on judges scoring...

Tied PCS?!

Huffman

3t-2a-2a to start, she has nice spring in her jumps, 3r-2t, does all her combos at beginning fall on solo 3f and 3s and then finishes with some doubles. She was pretty close to 4th place after SP, will depend on how everyone else skates, long wait ahead.

Junior women…land of partial over the boot tights, cankles, horse hooves :yikes: :yikes: :yikes:

At least Skylar figured out that full over the boot tights are much more flattering (if you must wear tights over the boot tights at all) ;)

Awwww. Mixed bag for Skylar. Looks like she’s growing and adjusting. Not sure if it will be enough to make nationals. So much to like though. She surely has a bright future. Is she eligible for the JR Grand Prix next year?

Skylar in a beautiful dress. Unfortunately, too many errors today. :(

I've also got SA dance practice on, and apparently, if I've got 2 Peacock windows on the same device, I can't mute one w/o muting the other, so Skylar skated with Jean-Luc Baker talking in the background. 🤷‍♀️
