2026 U.S. Nationals - St. Louis!

But we wouldn't know what happened if someone like Ashley doesn't give us expert commentary like "She didn't want to fall there...."
Who else is going to tell us over and over that jumps with arms above the head are more difficult and earn more points. Wait, is that Ashley or Tara? Crap, IDK anymore.

My only hope is that the audio is so poorly-mixed like it was at SkAm that it effectively can't be heard anyway.

I'm pretty sure you're correct about this. The Olympic selection doc references individual discipline sub-committees of the Int'l Committee. I have no idea if there is any overlap of membership on the various sub-committees - I would think that Justin Dillon probably is present for each meeting, but who knows?
The overlapping members should be the chair of IC (Julia Rey) and the immediate past chair of IC

According to the USFSA rule book, the composition is as follows
Each subcommittee representing a discipline (ice dance, pairs, singles and synchronized skating) will have the following members:

A. The chair of the IC;
B. The immediate past chair of the IC;
C. One discipline-specific national vice chair;
D. Three discipline-specific athlete representatives, at least one of whom has competed in an ISU Championship and one of whom is a member of the Board of Directors representing that discipline.
1. Athlete representatives, not also on the Board of Directors, must not compete in any qualifying or international competitions in the season in which they serve on the IC and must not have competed in any qualifying or international competitions in the season immediately prior to serving on the IC.
E. One discipline-specific ISU official;
F. Two discipline-specific representatives; and
G. The ISU representative, who will serve as a non-voting, ex-officio member.

The members of the Board of Directors representing the 3 disciplines are Mirai Nagasu, Ashley Cain and Colin McManus.

Not a bad forecast. Just have to decide which layers to bring!

I can't remember the last time we had such a moderate looking forecast for US Nats! My body isn't gonna know how to react to this at all especially since it's been freezing here this past week, LOL :lol:

BTW-I don't know if things have changed in the last 20 years (hopefully they have...) but this arena in St. Louis remains one of the COLDEST arenas I have ever seen a skating event in and I've been to a lot of arenas since I was last there. I recommend bringing a variety of layers for the competition and being prepared for a cold temperature (and I did NOT have a front row seat in 2006 so this is coming from someone who sat about six or seven rows up the entire week). :eek:

One parking question, especially for @Richard and @peibeck.

I will be staying near Cherokee St., south of the downtown, and I'll be with a vehicle. SpotHero is showing a cheap option at 7th & Cerre, but the place is rated below 4 stars with no way to read reviews. Another cheap option is 1402 Dr. Martin Luther King Dr., and it's got a slightly higher rating, but still not a great one. Any idea about issues? 1400 Washington Ave, near the MLK spot, has a much higher rating, but it's only a few blocks away.

Thanks for any tips. I am not elderly, wealthy, impaired, etc., so I am not interesting in paying more to park closer unless there is something like safety/crime going on :).

@Plusdinfo the first lot probably has lower ratings because when people park there after Cardinals baseball games they have a long wait getting in and out. I doubt that's going to be an issue with the skating event. Also, the painted spots are apparently quite small, so if you're in a big SUV or something it could be quite tight quarters. However the area is under the highway and might be a bit desolate on your walk back to your car later at night.

The other two lots are likely to have higher foot traffic post events and are closer to restaurants and bars which go up and down Washington.

I've never had issues parking my car anywhere in STL, but do the obvious and don't leave anything visible on seats/floor/dash etc. Car break ins happen, but are not the issue they once were. The second/third lots are likely to have a lot more city and local camera surveillance along the route to/from Enterprise Center.

$20 discount off (limited quantities?) of single-session tickets apparently available at this link:

I was redirected there from bit.ly/stlfans -- which was on signage in my hotel lobby, along with a QR code.
( Signage similar to graphic here: https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=1443768041091674&set=a.733967608738391 )

Access code: stl2026

Looks as if you can see Section and Row and Seat numbers before purchase, but not Seat number.
(ETA: Seat number will be shown on final screen before payment is necessary.)

(I already have all-event; did not go so far as to actually make a discounted purchase.)

The Centene arena is very nice, but on the cool side. Lots of great sight lines, think Norwood SKAM size bowl. Concession stand at top of bowl, and I believe restrooms as well. Sound quality is a bit hit or miss based on what I've heard so far at dance practice.

Thanks -- are you saying that concession stand is open today for Sun practices?

If I get myself to Centene later today, hoping not to waste time grabbing food beforehand.

Appreciate all your information in this thread.
