Kurt was actually just talking about that, and how skating for Poland has allowed her to have a longer career, grow as a performer and try different kinds of styles.Kurakova is growing into quite a mature performer. This is why I love skaters having long careers. The chance to get to see them grow and mature.

A lot of the sentiments were directed at the Chinese Federation for possibly forcing him to compete longer than he wants. There's been a lot of snarky comments made about his age on this forum during these Olympics. Things along the lines of he shouldn't be here ... isn't he, like almost 30 years old, and similar comments.
And .... just for the record, 28 years old is not "old." Getting up there for a singles skater, yes ... but in life, it's still SO young.
I read that differently. He wanted to retire but was sort of forced by Chinese fed to keep on skating. Like Chenxuan Li (?) before him. And that makes me mad - not his age. If he wanted to skate - all the power to him. But propping him up (from China) because of a name....There's been a lot of snarky comments made about his age on this forum during these Olympics. When Olga still lived in Vorarlberg, she trained quite often in Oberstdorf. Sinicyn did choreography. I think he was listed as coach, too.Elena Romanova (original coach in Austria), Rostislav Sinicyn (new?) are listed in Olga's ISU bio - were both in the kiss & cry with her?
Kaiser's PCS 26.07 were rather low. I don't think she is making the FS unless someone completely bombs.Ooof - Katia does a 3t+2t and that should probably be enough to get Livia into the FS.

That's how I interpreted most comments. And because he was such a young phenom it feels like he's been around for a long time.I read that differently.
