Deanna's injury (happened in Montreal) was only made public yesterday: https://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/th...dek-injured-pre-olympics-news-updates.113662/I hope Canada sends a 3rd pairs team to be on stand by in case DM cannot skate the pairs event due to her injury. Why did they leave it so late I wonder if this has been bothering her for awhile?
Deanna and Max haven't left. They're still in Canada.Yes, but the article said she sustained the injury training in Montreal before leaving for the Olys. With that known before they left, why not send a backup team just in case? Like when the US sent Kwan back in 94 in the event Kerrigan was not healed enough to skate (in the end of course she was healthy enough to skate and Kwan wasted a trip but still, it was prudent to send Kwan just in case IMHO).
I remember that, but I also recall someone talking about one of the women going to Japan to train for a few days. That would have been unofficial, of course, and I may be up in the night.Chuncheon, South Korea, was the training site in 2018 for Team USA figure skaters.
"The U.S. team spent much of its time at the Olympics practicing a couple of hours away in Chuncheon, South Korea."
https://skatingmagazine.usfigureskating.org/article/Skating_201804_12 (scroll down)The Chuncheon site was not just for the women. I remember that according to Mirai, Vincent discovered at the eleventh hour that he accidentally packed his Opening Ceremony uniform in luggage that already had been sent to Chuncheon. Luckily, an extra Opening Ceremony uniform somehow was found for Vincent.
This is today. I'm assuming the US would list all the members of the team as being available, but has anyone found anything official?February 3, 2026 - 10:00 Final confirmation of Skaters/Couples participating
(Team Leaders Meeting Team Event) in the Team Event. The confirmation includes all
Skaters/Couples available for participation in the Team Event.
Not yet. This is today. I'm assuming the US would list all the members of the team as being available, but has anyone found anything official?
Not that I've seen, but you are correct that most countries with multiple entries are going to list all of the members of the team as being available. About the only ones who I wouldn't expect to be listed are Deanna & Max simply because they aren't even in Italy yet. This is today. )That is the first deadline. Are the times listed on Olympics.com Milano time? I'm guessing I'll have to convert the times and most likely start to watch after breakfast each morning. Until the long programs...!
), I will have to watch live.
My plan for Thursday is to go into the office early in the morning then come home to work for the afternoon and go to bed as soon as I log off the work computer in the hopes of getting a good 7-8 hours of sleep before Day 1 of the TE starts. And then work from home all day Friday so that if I'm dragging to keep my eyes open at least I won't be operating a vehicle at any point during the day, lol.Because of the middle-of-the-night times for the west coast for the team rhythm dance, pairs short, and women's short, I was going to sleep in and watch Peacock replays unspoiled. But now that it looks like Alysa might be skating her short program (if we can trust the TV promo), I will have to watch live.

THANK YOU! I watched your video last night and was yelling at the TV when your choices don't match mine.If anyone wants to use the spreadsheet from our simulator to try out your own scenarios, you can download a blank version here:

I volunteer for "keeping @PRlady informed" duty.So because we had to change plane reservations, I’ll actually be flying during the Friday (daytime for me) events! If anything shocking happens please someone PM me so I see it when I turn my phone back on, we are landing 14:30 Milan time.![]()

It's just Day 1 that is in the middle of the night and that's because the Opening Ceremony. Days 2 & 3 are during the daytime for North America. So glad i'm retired now and don't have to worry about missing anything and can choose when i'll get some sleep. Still kinda sucks that the TE is in the middle of the night here but at least when the individual events start they will be in the late morning early afternoon.
) and then I can just watch the RD on demand before I watch the Opening Ceremony live in the afternoon. I wish I was still working from home full time like I was in 2022 because I literally watched EVERYTHING skating related back then and it was so awesome. I will do what I can this time around though!
