2026 Euros in Sheffield GBR planning thread

I’m travelling from Stockport to Sheffield on Wednesday morning & am staying at the Premier Inn Angel St. I’ve got the TSY app on my phone for buying tram tickets. Feeling excited!
Manchester Piccadilly rail station will close from 14 - 22 Feb so won’t affect anyone travelling this week.

Greetings from Sheffield.

We are currently watching the Men's Singles practice session in the main arena.

It is quite surreal to have travelled half way across the world from Melbourne, Australia.

We're hoping to get our Facebook connection up and running soon as well.
Hi,
great that you made it from Down Under.
How cold is the rink?
Will be there tomorrow.

Just saying hi, I'm also at the Angel St Premier Inn, arrived yesterday. Very straightforward team ride to the arena, where I currently am if anyone wants to say hello, I'm in section 116 seat A7 wearing a black coat and purple hoodie, and clutching an enormous diet coke as if my life depends on it!

Would you believe I was the first person to pick up my press credential.
The main rink is fine, although the press stand is in the upper bowl and quite far from the ice.
I haven't been to the practice rink next door, but since it is quite chilly outside, I'd imagine it will be cold as well.

Be aware that the elevated walk between the press centre and the doors to the arena is very tight. You literally cannot pass anyone in the walkway.

Thanks! This time I am a mere civilian...

Sorry, I'm going to be the annoying person with a Ticketmaster question.

Have any all-event ticketholders been able to access them in the Ticketmasker app? I've got the gala ones there (and received an email telling me they were available) but not the all-event. I could still access them in my online account so not worried that anything major's gone wrong - and downloaded to my phone wallet...but no barcodes there - but don't want to rely on that since I know signal is often patchy in arenas. And of course it's Ticketmaster, so no analogue option.

I’ve just checked the schedule for the women’s short program & it finishes around 10:30pm, I hope the trams to the city centre will still be running.

For those who have all event tickets that have been transferred from someone else, they will NOT show in the US TM app. Bookmark the Ticketmaster.co.uk link and do not lose it. To recover, you’ll need to go to the UK site using a browser and authenticate there.

Tickets don't show in the UK app, either, for me, and they're not even transferred. Couldn't get them to load into my google wallet, either. Just gonna load them from the website, I guess!

My all event ticket disappeared from the app again but I had managed to save to iPhone wallet and no problem getting in.

The main arena is quite temperate. I was sitting a couple of rows from the ice for dance practice this evening and wearing a woolly jumper but didn’t need my jacket too.

We were told there will be more concessions open in the arena tomorrow, and more food options available. For non-arena food, Wagamama across the road at Sheffield Centertainment has brought in extra staff for the week. (Yes, there are places to eat in Sheffield other than Wagamama.)

The ISU has a Sheffield "city guide" thanks to Olivia Smart:
