2025 World Team Trophy - Day 2

we have a number of pants covering skates in this group. They aren't technically tights or boot covers, but they might as well be. So...

tights over/ boot covers

Choreo Sliding Movement ! - they both put hands down - double fall (Element was given credit after review)

Lost control during the last choreographic element - not sure what the technical panel will do with that - nice to see their free dance once again after not qualifying at Worlds.

The French team dumpage is in full effect regardless of some tight spots for him.

I fear this team is going to way of Moniotte and Lavanchy once upon a time, only to show up to the Olympics next year and finish outside the top 10..

Please, don't say that.

It is absolutely awful how much the news hit L/B's scores.
Yeah, it's pretty egregious. I know I've been saying since Euros that their Euros scores were the ones out of whack but they shouldn't be scoring below DavSmo even when a bit tight.

The intricacy as always with them is off the charts, so much happening into and out of the elements and always adding some nuance to the elements themselves to add difficulty.

But most of this stuff is timed SO BADLY to non-highlights of the music, or music changes and it makes the elements forgettable as a whole.

I can't remember. Did we decide these are a very literal costume?
No. We decided their original, robot exhibition costumes were very literal while these were just weird, metallic exoskeletons or something.

Jeez. That's some score dumpage too for the Italians. They better figure shit out fast or next season is going to be reallllly rough.

I know it's not technically "molesting the judges" because they didn't touch the boards, but that was some mighty up-close O-face Piper was giving the judges there during the tango section, lol. Can we count it?

Good skate - still not connecting with this program, and it's only gotten less cohesive as the season has gone on.
