2025 Skate America Mens Short - Quadless in Lake Placid

Liam lands the 3A! And a lovely 3f. Oooooo - eked out that 3z+3t combo!

I really wonder where he'd be, jumps-wise, if he'd gone to Raf instead of Keegan Murphy at the start of this Olympic cycle.

3A - tight, low landing position
3F
Change Foot Camel Spin 4
3Lz+3T - Lutz landings was a struggle, but he was patient

Flying Sit Spin 3
Step Sequence 4

Change Foot Combo Spin 4

The basic skating quality is wonderful, but if you haven't got the technical arsenal to include quadruple jumps you need to be clean.

74.28 = 1st Place

They usually have two commentary teams, which is what I'm hoping for again.
Yeah, but in Olympic years they tend to divert more of the events to their main feed. Hopefully not, but I’m not betting on it for Nats.

For the Olympics, NBC/Peacock has been going for a more is better approach recently. I feel more confident there they’ll maintain the separate World Feeds etc. and give viewers some choice.

Saatva really missed an opportunity for an Olympic sponsorship by using Mikaela Shiffrin instead of Chock & Bates. :rofl:

Right. But couldn’t we have still filled out the three host picks regardless where Ilia wanted?
I believe the speculation is that Ilia was listed for SA but when GPdF requested to swap dates, Ilia wanted earlier events and so he was swapped with someone from GPdF (presumably Shaidorov as he is the 1-3 ranked skater here). Thus the US went from having 3 men at SA & 2 at GPdF to 2 at SA & 3 at GPdF.

Some great qualities to Corey's skating, but not the technical difficulty needed to be competitive.

61.99 = 2nd Place

wan cartwheel aside, I enjoyed that from Cirelli, despite the low tech. he's stylish.

Seems an odd choice to switch from Canada to Italy if you're a lower technical content but consistent skater (I don't know - is he consistent?).

And my tolerance for the NBC coverage need for constant yapping is nil.
