2025 ISU World Figure Skating Championships in Boston

@YukiNieve, thanks for the info about practice. Looks like I will be sightseeing on Monday as changing my reservation would cost me more as rates have doubled.

I got an all event just for practices. There better be practices on Tuesday.

They have to let skaters have practice time on the official ice. I'd guess skaters may actually get an opportunity to practice Monday at TD Garden but as a cost saving measure the public won't be allowed in. (Plus they don't want to hear we mere ticket buyers crying that practically no concessions would be open! :saint: )

Looking at the Montreal sched, all disciplines had 2 practices per day Monday and Tuesday, 1 at each rink. For Boston, initially we were told that qual rounds would be Monday and official practices at TD Garden on Tuesday. Now that there's no QR, I'm guessing the LOC canceled the ice at TD on Monday, since they weren't planning on practices there anyway, to save some money.

I don't know if the practice arena has multiple rinks, but otherwise I'm not sure how they could still do two practices then on Monday. 🤷‍♂️

They probably planned on only doing one. I don't think there is a rule that requires 2 per day? You may be right about sekret practices on Monday but they were planning to have spectators there on Monday anyway for the QRs so I wouldn't think security and concessions would be issues by themselves.

If anyone is still looking for a cheap place to stay it looks like a new hostel just opened one block from TD Garden. Meco Hotel Boston. Not many reviews or photos yet but just thought I would mention it.

Does anyone know the date when single-session tickets go on sale. The website says in the Fall. I emailed them but haven’t heard back. Thanks

According to a Reddit thread, single session tickets will not go on sale until after the US election in November. The thread says it is too difficult to capture audience attention and purchase advertising while the election is going on.

Does anyone know if those who bought all-session tickets will be able to resell tickets for individual events via TicketMaster? I'm planning to buy single session tickets and have 1-2 events I would pay a premium to buy better tickets than may be available through the single ticket sale, but I'm not sure if those who bought all-session tickets will be able to offer single session tickets for resale?

The email that I got this morning says:
"Ticket holders will have the ability to both transfer and resell their tickets prior to the event. This feature will not be available until after single-session tickets go on sale (november 8th). More detailed information about this will come in a future communication."

The message is "vague" and does not specify if you can resell the tickets individually. They do come with barcode(s) so it's hopeful that they can be split up (but please don't hold me to this - it's only an assumption from my part).
I don't think this feature is available via TicketMaster - it will be via TD Garden Account Manager (where we will have to create an account to download our tickets). The email specifically states for us to not go to TicketMaster app to look for the tickets.

I'm sorry that I can't answer/address your question more specifically.

Hi all! Just curious if anyone who signed up to volunteer for Worlds has heard from a committee chair regarding selection for a team. I'm hoping to hear soon. Fingers crossed.

I received an email last month that they'll be selecting and notifying until early November. Good luck!

"At the moment, only all-event tickets are available for purchase. An all-event ticket is essentially a book of 8 tickets (one for each competition event). These can be shared among individuals by transferring the electronic ticket to another person's Ticketmaster account."

Quote above is from September e-mail to applicants for volunteering.

FWIW:

Today I was pleasantly surprised to receive an e-mail that names a committee to which I have been assigned.
The e-mail is not from the chairs of the specific committee for this role. It is from the chairs for the entire volunteer process.

Big disclaimer that I do not/not/not want to make anyone antsy if they have not yet received a similar e-mail.
Based on the following mentions in today's e-mail, it would seem to me that there is plenty of time remaining before subsequent phases:
"Shift Schedules: Look for communication from the Volunteer Committee in early December. Some committees may have pre-event work to do or have other reasons to begin this early in which case committee chairs will reach out directly to you."
"We will conduct volunteer training on Zoom between March 1-8, 2025. Multiple dates will be available ..."
