2025 GPF Pairs SP - “N A G O Y A”

Love the Japanese team and this program - don't care if her triples are sketch as hell, the Italians do nothing for me, would have had the Georgians above them.

Hungarians are solid as a rock. And about as entertaining. But I admire their reliability.

Germans looked really tight out there - they don't seem to have the power and confidence of last season. Many of their skates so far have been really nervy. Hope they come back in the free.

Deanna/Max - their skating has really regressed this season, has there been injury? Agree with the earlier poster that the backflip just feels more awkward than WOW given it's placement and the very cumbersome set up it requires. Also the fact that it's mostly done at a standstill just feels very underwhelming.

Ryuichi crossing his eyes
Volodin literally made a poster child example for PSOTY standing at the boards 🍑
Nah. His chin is too big :slinkaway
Sara and Niccolo are on fire. I never quite understand how he manages to lift anything with zero upper body muscles but here we are.
He has Super Lean Guy Strength? Magic Muscles? I don’t know either.

I don't necessarily agree with the placements, but it's not the worse miscarriage of justice I've ever seen. I'm still salty about the Finns over the Browns at Finlandia. I think the Germans above the Canadians is justifiable. The Italians should probably be in first, but not so much that it upsets me.

Watching this now and hearing Mark pronounce the Italian word "insieme" as if it were French and pronounced "an-see-em." :duh:

ETA: The Italians were robbed, and not just on pronunciation. :wuzrobbed
