2025 GPF Pairs SP - “N A G O Y A”

Far apart isn't the way to describe it. They should be at -1 GOE at best even when she rotates the SBS. She didn't today.

Throw 3F should not be positive GOE either. Zero runout and her free leg was all over the place trying to stabilize.

This will in no way go below the Hungarians but it 100000% should.

MiuKih - bracing myself for ridiculously high GOEs and score regardless of how they skate because it's Japan... 3tw - bit over his shoulder on the landing but fine othewise; SBS 3t - sooooo far apart she could have been in Tokyo & questionable rotation; lift - excellent as always; throw 3lz - pitched forward on the landing; SBS spins - good unison & distance; step seq - quite dynamic; BODS - good.

I expect that will lead, though I'd have ConMac in first, but that's probably a matter of personal preference.

Wasn't a fan of this program last season, still am not. The power they had last worlds somewhat was missing here, plus I'd urr that jump from Riku.

I realize they are better skaters, but I'd have them behind C/M, and possibly M/B.

Mark just confirmed that Riku was given a < on the 3S - good for the tech panel for being fearless on that call.

OK I set the alarm and watched from bed. The fact that MiuKih just won that is giving me shades of ice dance judging here.

And as much as I want the Germans to be Olympic champions, I think they should be in last place here.

Not happy with the judging, and I have no horse in this race.

All of the pairs seemed a bit tight, presentation and artistry wise I’m still with Deanna and Max as the lifts and program is so good. The Georgians are technically great but I find them boring. The Hungarians I really liked them and they are growing on me and find them more exciting to watch than the Georgians, I agree perhaps the best choreography of all the pairs. Germans are lucky not to be last, it is an Olympic podium potential short but has to be clean. The Italians looked great, except the lift looked a little unsteady, a clean short at the Olympics will put these guys on the podium with their home crowd, emotion etc., which I think would be amazing! The Japanese team are great except for those side by side jumps, far apart and UR. But they brought great emotion to their performance. Pairs is so close this year, it is a crap shoot.
I would have Italians in first and Germans in last. But depends on who skates clean.
