2025 Cranberry Cup International (August 7-10, 2025), Norwood, MA, USA

Ma

4t fall, popped next quad attempt, 3r landed a little forward, 3z, 3a, I really need Ma to skate to something upbeat and crazy because these classical pieces don't hide his weaker basics and he interprets those pieces so well

Sanchez for the SA spot since he had best placement here of the Americans who don't have 2 (or 1) spots.

Early season but another piece of music that does wonders for most skaters and it's doing nothing for Jimmy. I know he has this personality where he loves classical music as much as Turn Down for What but his skating isn't big or fast enough to leave much of an impression with power like Turandot.

A total miss IMO.

Ma: I love "Nessum Dorma" (though I'd prefer it without the vocals), but this program is pretty empty. And Jimmy's expression comes flying out of this fingertips, but not via his bladework. Even without the jump mistakes, this is a big miss for me.

Sanchez for the SA spot since he had best placement here of the Americans who don't have 2 (or 1) spots.
Well, maybe, except neither Camden nor Max competed here, so my guess is the USFS won't make that decision until after Champs Camp, or even possibly a few Challengers. Jacob is 6th on the GP Alternates list, so there's an outside chance he may get a 2nd assignment elsewhere and my guess is the USFS is going to wait & hope that happens for him, plus see what sort of shape Cam & Max are in when they finally make their Challenger debuts.

J[acob] not over his skates tonight. He has a 4S? which he popped.
He has Schrodinger's quad. Until I see it in competition, I cannot be sure it exists.
I'm not on the Sanchez bandwagon.
I'm not in the sense that I have huge aspirations for him. Show me the quad, first. However, he's clearly outskating/outscoring the other options so he deserves the spot IMO.

True. I like those who want to have a host spot to compete in public for it, but you're right: Pulkinen and Naumov will get a chance to impress at Champs Camp. USFS usually announces after that; I'd be surprised if they waited until the later Challengers, but maybe they will this year since SA isn't the first GP on the calendar.

I wasn’t able to watch the men. Since they were menning, I’ll just seek out Romsky’s skate.

Spoke to Vinokur. Costume is cleared by ISU, as I suspected, because of small modifications. He mentioned that if you look closely, the Ferrari-esque logo is in fact…. a unicorn. 😂
that's hilarious actually
