2025 Cranberry Cup International (August 7-10, 2025), Norwood, MA, USA

I've just been watching with half an eye, as my sister's here. Are those fans in the front row waving stuffies at everyone, or just at Salevko?

Well, this hasn't been an utter disaster for Elder Selevbro like most of his free skates last season, but I really hate the bagginess of his shirt.

Selevko's spider webs on this blouse are so needlessly distracting.

A good base is here, but definitely needs more polish.

You can’t claim that he didn’t commit to the program (at least the 2nd half). Looking forward to seeing it improve thru the season.

Selevko

nice pivot choreo at beginning of program, very choppy backwards crossovers building speed into 4z, 4t, grabs his invisible hat, 3a, 3f; when he's not setting up quads, his basics are okay, when he is, he looks like he's lumbering across the ice like a hockey skater generating speed with no concern for aesthetics; 2a-3a-3t, pounding the boards--now's that new, uber dramatic ending

And now Jacob is pounding his fist on the ice. What will Jimmy do?

Whelp, this is a bit of a mess so far from Jacob. Clearly going for a 4s to open and when he popped it, I think he let his focus drop and both 3As have been messily landed. But, now he's getting it back together for the rest of the program. And he's a far more interesting skater than Elder Selevbro, Sadovsky or Gogolev, even if the tech isn't there.

Nice moments: edgework out of the Flutz, catch-foot layback.

His skating is really, really scrapey though both on back crossovers and on jump landings, and the choreography is on the light side. He's almost always too far up on his blade toward the toe pick and it makes everything slower and clunky. The outfit doesn't help that impression, either.

Sanchez

2s, Dune the new warhorse 3a turns 2t, 3(f)z, 3a stepout, 3r landing on an accent in the music, 3z-2a, he seems as engaged in his music as Kuperman, i.e., glimpses of engagement, but still room to grow for both, left some points on the table today

The wonderful Jacob Sanchez we saw in the short program is gone. This program does nothing for him.

There have been a lot of Dune programmes, but I think this is a good fit for Sanchez. Costume needs to lose some of the extra material near the neck, which makes his shoulders look stiff and hunched.

After a couple of really remarkable "Dune" programs it doesn't seem like the best choice to do one if it isn't going to match up. And this costume, is terrible. It looks like neoprene, or something else terribly hot (not hawt). Sanchez is a definitely an upcoming star to watch, but I don't think this program is doing him any favors. :slinkaway
