2025 Canadians Men FP - Last Man Standing?

Is this really an upset, Ted? Given that 3 of the 4 top medal contenders have withdrawn, this was pretty much going to be open season for any & all of the juniors skating up domestically to make a splash.

Wow... John Kim! 4s+2t and 4t! Falls on both 3a attempts but I dare anyone not named Roman to beat his tech content today!

2 quads and a decent attempt at 3axel .... yes, Kim, keep bringing it.

eta: Oh my ..... (sigh)

Although, it feels like those quads took all his jumping stamina out of him... We're in 2.0 deduction territory here.

I'm also partial to skaters named John (that's my first name) but Kim has been a hot mess after a strong start...

Kim a great start with the 4s combo, but I think the 4t and both 3As were under rotated. Impressive spin speed though.

I can’t remember is gogo going to petition for the worlds team or do we wait for him for next season?

I don't think we've heard anything - but, at best, he'd be petitioning for a spot on the 4CCs team where Skate Canada is surely going to have a skate off to pick their Worlds entrant.
I read that Gogolev is definitely finished for the season. I wish I could remember the source but I only remember it was from a reliable one.

No offense, but I like both of Ilia's vampire costumes better than Anthony's. Good start though! And then he snail-paces into what I think was going to be a 3a attempt that he winds up popping. Comes back strong with the next jump combo and, wisely, a 2a. He's going for steady & clean... Bit of a low landing & turnout on the 3f and the 3lo should probably get a q. Weak-sauce Russian split in the choreo sequence.

Well, that will lead and Roman needs to not fall apart, otherwise he'll lose today.
