2025-26 Program Music and Choreographers

You have a different version of warhorse than me.
That’s 7 skaters over multiple years.
And I think Candelero did one too.
Sorry y’all aren’t convincing me it’s a warhorse.
A warhorse to me is like almost every season over 20/30 years of skating.
Adam Hagara and Vaipan-Law/Digby have both had 007 programs during this Olympic quad.

For me, warhorse status is unlocked when there is consistently at least 1 skater/team that makes the FS at Worlds who has a program to that music for either their SP or FS for years on end. The James Bond theme has definitely achieved that level of usage.

I think the thing with James Bond is if you are looking at specific songs it seems less warhorsey because there's so many to choose from, however in terms of concept it's 100% a warhorse because it gets used a lot in general.
You can't even search for James Bond on the skating music wiki; you have to search individually for Skyfall, Writing's on the Wall, etc. And for some reason they don't even list No Time to Die.

TSL is back (for some reason) and people are still leaking to them (for some reason).
Can we please delete this info rather than platforming him in any way? Let's respect the skaters enough to let them announce their music choices in their own time.

He is permanently prohibited from membership in the USFS and no one should be sharing any information from him let alone leaking info to him. https://www.usfigureskating.org/grievances

I wouldn't necessarily call James Bond a warhorse, but I'd call it tacky and juniorish. :P
Part of that is my irritated bemusement at the fact ALL British skaters apparently have to skate to it at least once in their careers.
Isn’t Bradie short program also James Bond

Where is the imagination in this imaginative sport?

@Karen-W I dislike Dave too, but let's not pretend like leaking programs is so disrespectful and something exclusive to TSL. In fact, Alysa's program was leaked elsewhere before this.

It's only recently that programs started getting announced rather than leaked.

I was telling my Bestie that another good short program for Amber could be Ava Max “so am I”. I think those of the lyrics are kind of suited to her.

With all due respect, if Alysa's program was leaked elsewhere before this then why is it only just now being reported? There's been plenty of chatter & speculation about Amber's FS and I'm positive that Alysa's would garner just as much discussion if it had been leaked before now.

But, again, my point is that I don't see any reason to platform TSL/DL in any way, not especially by sharing unannounced program information.

@Karen-W I'm not linking to it or endorsing anyone support him or visit TSL social media. The program info was leaked by a much less followed source and was thus not discussed. As much as we all loathe to admit it, TSL has a wide audience and this would get discussed.

Champs Camp leaks are a time honored tradition regardless of who leaks it or if it's wrong or right. This would've come out anyways.

When people think of James Bond music, people immediately go to the instantly recognizable James Bond theme and think of male skater dresses in a tux-like outfit and doing the cliche gun pointing at the audience/judges gesture. Granted, many young skaters skating to JB do adopt that. But assuming that Lambiel will be choreographing for Denis, I just can't see Lambiel using the well known James Bond theme and resorting to cliche choreography. I don't think a LP to Sky Fall or A Time To Die, for example, would automatically be "tacky and juniorish".

According to the interview he's using "Another Way to Die," "Vesper," "Day of the Dead," and "Final Ascent."

"Another Way to Die" is from the Quantum of Solace soundtrack; "Vesper" is from the Casino Royale soundtrack, "Day of the Dead" is from the Spectre soundtrack and "Final Ascent" is from the No Time to Die soundtrack, so it definitely isn't your typical 007 theme & main title song music edit.
