2025-26 Program Music and Choreographers

Yay for not being a Ricky Martin RD! :cheer2: (no offense to Ricky Martin and his fans).

Not sure if this is the right place to share, but one can find the debut of several new programs from Japanese skaters on this YouTube channel. Some good stuff here.

I was hoping he’d do La Boheme or Rigoletto if he was going do opera. I’m kind of disappointed with this choice but he’s always lovely to watch.

Or just anything that’s not a worse? It’s the Olympics …. I don’t understand and never will… why are you going to the main event and trotting along a tested and tired Warhorse.

All well and good, but it’s still Turandot, and we’ve still heard it a million times in skating.
Very underwhelmed by the music choices announced so far.

Totally I’m trying to go through the list and see if I see one piece of original music. Come on Amber …. she’s gonna be announcing soon. I’m at the precipice of my seat.

Daniel Grassl ITA:

SP: Tango per la libertà - Stefano Lentini
FS: Conclave

Conclave? OK then…

I’ll tune in, first time someone using it, because it only came out six months ago, it had a very interesting score, which I think is going to create some good tension for a program and of course it’s set in Italy as the Olympics, I’m here for it it.

Sophie Joline von Felten (USA)
SP: "I Will Never Abandon You" by Efisio Cross/"Cassiopeia" by Jonathon Deering, Power-Haus, and Ros Stephen (dedicated to the skaters who died in the plane crash)

More on Abo/Ves's FD -- apparently it's about the goddess Nike. https://www.instagram.com/p/DMLZBMdv5Kp/?img_index=12&igsh=MXM5anVkMjYzNHYz
From Aboian/Veselukhin's post, it looks like Dimitry Chaplin choreographed their RD and Oksana Grishuk choreographed their FD. I'm now looking forward to seeing this programme even more:encore:

Got to see both their programs at Dallas Classic and they have great material this year. With their speed and flow, the FD went by so fast that it felt like it was only a minute long. They've really matured a lot since last year.

Sonja Hilmer's short program (which she choreographed herself) is to her own blade recordings and a medley of Dave Brubeck pieces: Strange Meadow Lark, Take Five, I Get A Kick Out Of You.
