2025-26 Peacock Streaming

Also have no commentary on Peacock. It's a good broadcast, haven't noticed the weird camera angles some mentioned yesterday. Only issue is the jump map is annoying but otherwise enjoying this!

There were a couple of time when I thought I could here their commentary start to bleed through - then it was silenced.

I've discovered that as long as I leave the Peacock window open on my laptop while the practice stream is still live, I can rewind the stream until it is deleted eventually.
I have discovered that in past competitions as well. It doesn't last forever, but I have had it stay up for almost 24 hours before. Probably not for the Olympics.

It was nice to see Kaori skate such a lovely short all by herself.

I am keeping an unofficial tally of days and tiles that stay up. So far the Team short tiles are still up (NBC) - I'll see if they are still up tomorrow. Today I notice that the venue feed tile is available for replay - I wonder if that is because it is no commentary. This is probably for nothing, but I am hoping that since so many programs have been through the "rights" process NBC may give us a little bit more time?

Training streaming this morning at 8 a.m. One skater - Meda V. from Lithuania - but NO AUDIO!
Next group is on the ice but there is only one skater Ekaterina Kurakova. Still no audio.

Audio is playing in the practice stream now (scheduled to run until 3:05 pm Eastern time). A second practice stream today will be the RD warm-up, starting at 11:20 am ET.

View has been the warm-up area for the athletes and pretty much all of the teams in the last two groups have been seen on screen at one point or another in the last 45 minutes or so.

RD Warm-Up stream is live (final 2 groups) and the Training stream also is showing the main arena now.

CarPomCam is on! ;)

ETA: Peacock has 2 practice livestreams today - one is happening now (the warmup area is being shown during ice resurfacing between the women's groups) and the other will be the RD warm-up, starting at 11:20 am ET.
I've been pretty disappointed in the training sessions streaming. They stick on one (or two) skaters and ignore the rest. Yes, I did see a lovely short program from Sakamoto when she was the only one on the ice, but whoever is on the camera is probably following some proscribed instructions from NBC - and it's not working. The least they could do is follow the skater(s) whose mucis is being played. I'm getting much better information by reading Jackie's notes.

The venue feed has already started and 4 teams have skated. The USA stream is still showing commercials and then going off.

It's definitely venue feed today. Now I need to go check my DVR settings.

Tiles are up for Worlds. Some of it says world feed. Some of it doesn't. I'm thinking I will wait until tomorrow to put everything in "my stuff" in anticipation of changes.

No practices are listed as yet.

I'm not expecting any practice streams - AFAIK, it's up to the host broadcaster. Peacock (NBC) only streamed practices from the practice rink in Boston last year and none from the TD Garden. I've seen fans ask about this on isuprague2026's Instagram account but have yet to see a reply and there's nothing on the official website either.

ISU World feed commentators will be Mark Hanretty and Tonia Kwiatkowski. Peacock and USA Network/NBC coverage times: https://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/threads/2025-26-u-s-broadcast-schedule.113142/page-2#post-6914123

Heads up - not sure if it is accurate or why this would be the case, but my Peacock is saying today's Worlds Women's Short replay is only available for 1 day - i.e., it expires tonight at midnight Eastern.

As of now, mine says there is only 4 hours left to watch - that matches with about midnight, eastern time.

Just checked pairs - that one says 2 days. There must be some rights issue with some of the music for women's.

And indeed, the Women's Short Program is now gone from Peacock.

I wonder if it was a technical issue (i.e., someone in a control room entered Save for 1 Day instead of 3 Days) or a music rights issue. If it was a music rights issue, I wish they could have just muted the broadcast for those 3 minutes and displayed a message saying the music rights were not cleared. Especially because the Women's Short was not broadcast on television at all in the US. While many of us here can still watch via VPN on YouTube, the casual and more technologically challenged fans I know would not do that so they just won't watch at all.

On that topic, I also find it strange that the Women's Short was not broadcast on TV in the US. You would think after all the attention that Womens Figure Skating has gotten from the Olympics, they would want to take advantage of that. Even though Alysa isn't here, maybe some newer fans would have been excited to watch the Women's World Championships if it weren't so difficult to watch it.

They pretty much never do that. They show the SPs of the top skaters and maybe 1 or 2 others of interest instead of the first two groups of Free Skates. :D

It disappeared while I was watching the last flight. Pairs is still there. That makes no sense.

It also ticks me off. I'm paying good money for Peacock, and I shouldn't have to finish watching it by 9 p.m. in order to see it. It would be very difficult for someone on the West Coast to come how after work and watch the entire thing by 9.

This morning (Thursday) just before the Men's SP I checked Peacock and the Women's SP is still available for replay and says I have 1 day left to watch. I'm in ET zone. Maybe the Women's SP replay was taken down and then put back up? I also saw the warning last night that it would be taken down at midnight.

@ChillSkate and @Allskate and anyone else, if you missed the Women's SP maybe check again today. I find Peacock very frustrating.

Thank you - yes, it looks like it was taken down and then put back up for me too, so it must have been a technical error. I got through all of it just before midnight but had a few programs I wanted to re-watch so I'm glad it is back. I'm also glad we don't have to worry about some events sporadically being taken down early since they brought it back. This did happen with the Olympics though, with one team event not being replayed at all, seemingly due to commentary being included. But in that case, almost everything was on TV, so there was an easier back up than Youtube via VPN.

Yes, women's short was taken down and then restored. Now the men's short tile has disappeared. I hope that gets restored too. Whoever is in charge of the figure skating tiles must be new - I hope.

Usually the tiles come down immediately after the event and are added back within an hour or two for the replay.

That hasn't been my experience. I have always been able to click on the expired tile and have it say "replay available soon" - until today. It's back now.
