2024 Finlandia Trophy Pairs SP PBP - I'd Like To Teach the Pairs to Spin, in Perfect Harmony

ChanHowe - 3tw- fine; throw 3f - good; SBS 3t - well, she stayed up, but I fear it will be <<; death spiral - very nice; lift - really nice speed & flow; step sequence - they're clearly a step above the teams that have come so far - really nice; SBS spins - Spencer completely biffed the first position and then Emily screwed up hers - no value at all - complete disaster.

I liked this a whole lot better this week but yeah, the end was a mess.

I can't believe I am going to compliment an Ed fecking Sheeran program, but Chan/Howe are actually listening to and enjoying (how?) their music.

And then of course the universe must balance things out so Spencer biffs the spin in maybe the most awkward way possible

Does Spenser's left half of his top count as 'not matching illusion' or is it not illusion? Will defer to the sewers of the group

P/S are so fun outside of the programs, walking around the concourse, chatting when sending them training videos, in their gala, etc.

But this program is just so weird.

Pavlova/Sviatchenko were known for having forgettable programmes. So they decided to dirtch the programme altogether and stick to the elements to a random music

random lady throwing in a bunch of growls but it's still a sad girl cover.

What is with skaters tripping on or out of random things here?

My best friend growing up loved Tom Jones, which wasn't cool as a tween in the 70s. (Her Mother was a fan, so she knew his music.) She was also a BIG Danny Osmond fan. By High School she had better taste, thank god

That SBS spin made me cringe for a split second and I think I heard Mark gasp a bit too. They started off very close as it was and I think he traveled ever so slightly into super dangerous territory.

But yeah, this program is lame.

PavSvia - 3tw - nice; SBS 3t - done; throw 3f - fine; lift - seemed slow... @tony - were they particularly slow at SkAm? Death spiral - ??? Step seq - stumbled at the start, the rest was eh; SBS spins - well, she almost biffed it too in the sit position, but overall, this program was really milquetoast.

No, I didn't think they were slow. I was more shocked at how much fun they were having outside of their run-throughs and how relaxed they looked. They both added me on IG the first day of practices after I tagged some of their clips and they said hi to me throughout the week-- and then they had SO MUCH personality in their gala skate. Wish they'd have competitive programs that show any/all of that.
