2023 World Team Trophy Day 3

Well, whatever Sihyeong spotted Japan in points by finishing dead last in the FS here, and whatever Shun gained by finishing no worse than 10th, Kazuki just gave up by probably finishing only one spot higher than Shun. Silver is up to Junhwan.

One of the most enjoyable skaters in the world to watch, and it doesn't matter whether the jumps hit or miss he still gives it all in the performance.

Tomono: Also nicely presented and pletny of good in this program, but yeah, Rizzo is going to still lead after this.

Now Junhwan needs to be first or second?
Korea is 9 points behind Japan, so Junhwan needs to be no worse than 3rd (10 points), provided none of the other guys finish behind Shun and/or Kazuki.

ETA - I'm not sure what the tie-breaker is for WTT, but I'm guessing Korea would win if they have the same points total since Haein won 2 segments and no one from Japan won any segments.

Is the leg wrap getting worse? It looked really severe at times, particularly the final triple lutz. This is the best free skate he's done in quite some time.

You don't even need to look at his bio to recognize this as the Richaud choreography it is.
Well, you won't have to be bothered by Grassl skating to Richaud choreo next season. Are you really sure you want to give that up for some Danny G crap?

ETA - Good Lord, I just realized, Danny G choreo for Danny G... God's laughing at us, I just know it.

I don't know if there's that much of a difference tbh. I guess fewer leg kicks and less maudlin face pulling with Richaud?

Oh, FFS, Adam... Get your shit together. This is gonna help Team Japan, I suspect.

Siao Him FA trying to help the Japanese team in the standings. I understand he's trying to get the harder content out so that he can contend in 2026, but at some point he also needs to start nailing other elements because consistency is important to winning.

154.60 = 6th Place (173.33 at Worlds)

He's a great performer, and that double swipe he does in his choreography is fantastic. Clearly not a skate he wanted, though, and not exactly a great overall program.

Tie Breaking within the Team Standings
In cases of ties between Teams, the following tie breaking procedure will be used. This is only applicable after the
second discipline of the current phase has started.
• The highest total Team points from the two best places in different disciplines of the current phase will break
the ties.
• If they remain tied, the highest total segment scores of the two best places according to the Team points in
different disciplines of the current phase will break the ties.
• If they remain tied, the highest total Team points from the three best places in different disciplines of the
current phase will break the ties.
• If they remain tied, the highest total segment scores of the three best places according to the Team points in
different disciplines of the current phase will break the ties.
If these criteria fail to break the ties, the Teams will be considered as tied.

So, the tie-break would go to Korea - 12+11 vs 11+11 for Japan.
