Lee's elements are so much cleaner than Sakamoto's, tight flip aside. This damn well better win.

Ehhhhhh... something comes and goes for me with Haein's skating. Not a fan. If she's consistent now, that'll take her far within Korean women's skating though. Would give it to Kaori based on PCS still, but I don't think that'll happen.

Haein is having such a blast here, and it shows. Better performance than Worlds, she was selling it all the way through.

Too bad about the loop because she a really good free skate going until then. A joy to watch every time she skates.

Thank goodness the judges did the right thing. Sakamoto's jumps may be big, but they're wild. Lee's are textbook and landed with beautiful control and a straight back. There was nothing to quibble with, other than the tight flip.

Haein used old dresses. The beginning of the season was not very successful for her and she changed dresses. I think she decided to use old dresses to prove to herself that the most important thing is talent and effort, not dresses.

What about her pre-rotated Flip and flat edge lutz is "text book"?

Kaori's jumps are landed with control, like that 2A. No one can really do that jump or multiple others of hers like she does.

Very strange performance. She set up the triple loop combo, and then balked, and skated around and did the combo when she should have been doing a triple toeloop. The triple toeloop was added at the end of the program. She was off right from the first element, and never found herself.

115.12 = 6th Place (127.47 at Worlds)

I hope to see Kevin Aymoz as the Eiffel Tower, Paul Poirier as a bottle of maple syrup, and Matteo Rizzo as a pizza tomorrow.

Beautiful skate for Isabeau. Jump issues aside she really uses her music, and finds the moments to create a performance. Interesting that she went back to the lutz+loop combo here.
