This isn't the worst Beatles cover (Bombardier/Farand) but skating maybe needs to take a break from Postmodern Jukebox.

It was "Oh Darling!" (for those wondering) - I liked what I saw from this new pair!

I've always liked what I've seen from Gabriel, he maybe just didn't have a partner that was a good match for him. Fiona did well for a new pair girl!

They certainly went for all the big elements. No wimpy doubles to ease into competition.

Carignan/Pierro - crashy 3tw, throw 3s - she stepped out and my feed cut out and I missed next 30 seconds so I have no idea if they landed the SBS 2a. These three teams are really uninspiring and I'm disappointed that Izzo/Ferland WD.

I agree - she sparkled out there! They have a 3Tw, 3 throw and level 4 lift. That's amazing for the short time they've been skating together. And they can both land sbs triple jumps!!!

Uhm, no, they definitely do NOT have a 3tw. At best, they have a 2.5tw - she was facing forward on the very crashy landing. They'd have been better off attempting a 2tw today, IMO.

If it's in the program, presumably it goes better in practice. I don't see the downside of trying it here, this competition doesn't actually matter.

Bombardier/Farand's FS music is "You Got It In You" by Banners and they opened with a nice 3twist. ETA: Also nicely landed the throw 3Lz they missed yesterday. Final lift didn't go up.

The word on the street is that they are entering results manually at the end of the event to avoid the delays from computer issues occurring like the day before. Junior pairs already up so senior shouldn’t be long.

Rats! I missed the Pairs Free. I didn't think they would start that early when the Short programs were so much later in the day yesterday. Could have easily watched it as I was up well before then even though my time zone should have had me sleeping in then.
Hopefully someone knows where to find the footage, especially of Bombardier & Farand.

So is it you that is responsible for the scoring system failing?
Due to technical problems with the scoring system the final results could not be calculated in real time so it is my understanding that even the skaters don’t know the results! I hope they come out soon.

What a beautiful, expressive, balletic program performed by Corey Circelli to "Le cygne"/"The Swan" (from The Carnival of the Animals) by Camille Saint-Saëns! His score is announced as 67.97.

Katherine Karon is such a lovely skater, though she does have issues with rotations. She did a double axel double axel double loop which I have never seen before. I guess we'll know her score tomorrow
