2022 Cranberry Open & Cup International- August 8th - August 14th

Ginzbourg starts with some jumps well timed to this dramatic piano music. Oh now we're on the Rach 3. This was my college studying music. I feel the desire to look at slides of white blood cells again. Aww he fell on a late combo. Oh his last spin got a little wonky there. Perhaps not the strongest skate? Lots of promise though. And props for the music (although I'm confused because I'm pretty sure that was not the Rach 3 to start...but then it switched to it and was throughout the rest so idk I only have one earbud in so that I can listen to my kids blabbing too).

105.32 total 171.07 currently in 3rd

They are about to present the awards - the score site still doesn't have the Jr. Women's results (overall) up. They only got the live scores for the Jr Men working for about the last 3 skaters. No overall results for them either yet...

Yikes!

Final Standings (probably maybe?):

Strommer
Sanchez
Ginzbourg
Hildebrandt
Li
Jin
Shinohara

I guess this is official :)

I cannot tell you how excited I am for Amanda Tobin's senior international debut!

@Sylvia the starting order you posted doesn't match what I see on the results page - it has Tobin first in group 1.

See the revised start order in my post above. It was posted today and is different from the one last night, for some reason.
And now Sylvia has revised her informative post to match :)

Tobin was very determined to get that combo out. Needs more Adele vocals and less of the muzak-esque orchestrations. I liked her fw a lot.

Tobin had a turn out on her combo (3 toe 3 toe) but it looked rotated. She did an easier solo triple (salcow) but it looked good. Hopefully this will get the 4CC minimum at least!

YO SOY MARIIAAAAA

End triple on the combo looked a bit sketchy to me. Has a beautiful Ina Bauer. Fell on the loop. Certainly trying to serve some sass in the fw. It's a good program for her I think.

Swan Lake Schizas. Step out of the combo? (someone said something to me so I looked away for a sec) Oh Dance of the Cygnets! We don't hear that used often. SWAN ARMS MY DAY IS COMPLETE. I look forward to seeing this as the season goes on.

GFB version of "Perfect." Very figure skating women's competition. Problems with jumps :(. Pretty last spin.

The results link is working. Wow Schizas didn't even break 32 TES (the new worlds minimums) with that. Tobin easily got the 4CC minimums and is very close to the worlds minimums.

Saari

Liebestraum is always nice. Was that first jump supposed to be her combo? She skidded on the exit but almost looked like she was going for it. Oh judging by the single toe she added to her other jump I'm guessing yes. I liked it overall though.

Cinema Italiano. Slight issue on her second jump. Guiidooo Guiidooooo Guiiidoooooo. Looks a little tired after her last jump. Oh, she pepped up at the end. I appreciate the peppy music.

Hawk

Oh yes Circles someone had to do it here or it wouldn't be an official skating competition. Very nice edge change in her spin. Solo jump looked short and she fell out.

Did you know the fire's running low?

Harrell

Fall on first jump. I think the axel was fine my husband made me look at a meme on his phone. Fall on last jump also. Alas her jump problems seem to still be an issue. Ohhhhh dance break she seems really into, but also she unfortunately stumbles. I actually like that program because it seems like she enjoys it. Those jumps though.

Warne-Jacobsen

Possible slight 2-foot on the second jump of the combo, but it looked nice. Doubled her solo jump. And I Will Sing a Lullaby. Kind of awkward music edit there. Axel was a little wonky? Not really sure why it looked that way though. She was very cute.
