S/N looked more polished than U/N at this point in time, especially in terms of expression. Thought u/N had more speed as the end as S/N really slowed down in the FW

One of my fav costumes of the season. So simple. So good.
I can't believe Volchkova finally made him wear a black shirt beneath
This was not good for him.
I really really really like him. He needs a good roster at 2nd event to make it I fear.

3lo totally weird fall :wall:

Everything is so good about him. Everything :swoon:
Such a great glide and soft skating. A shame he is focused so much on the jumps.
For his usual :gallopin1 standard though, this was very good.

Spots available are based on GP/JGPF entries and likely 'byes' to nationals (Z/E, Kolyada).
Pairs would be max'd out already if the 5 juniors team show up with a senior program, let's see how many it will be in the end.

Pairs/Ladies update coming saturday.

Junior pairs:
I can't help, Vislobokova/Briukhanov have the complete package for me. Great skills, awesome glide, speed, charme.
Well, if they'd just have jumps :drama:

Happy for Balabanova/Svyatchenko. I really like them. Do they even have minimums, just in case? I fear not :drama:

Who are Raskovalova/Butaev? Never heard of them. He is great, she looks very very young. A bit overscored imho but much potential.

Ouch for Sobinina/Volodin. But to be fair, despite my rooting from the past for hi, this pair does not much for me 🤷‍♂️

Top 5
Akhanteva/Kolesov

Raskovalova/Butaev

Balabanova/Svyatchenko

Vislobokova/Briukhanov

Sobinina/Volodin

for @rfisher

Red hair for her now. Shades of Bob.

3Tw
2a nasty all of her, took ages to get up
3FTh just held on
footwork mistake by her
MEEPOTS

Well, with maybe only 1 or 2 spots available for nationals, their chances might be really bad 😕

Program does nothing for me. Music overpowers them. They just skate through it.
Rough season.

Body language of Ialin.
He sits alone in knc. She joins later.
He leaves immediately, leaves her behind. Ah oh :(
Stay strong @rfisher , I fear, I fear :shuffle: 🆘

They are really refined. I am not sold by her. But for their 1st international season, kudos :respec:
This was miles better than K/I, @rfisher :(
Them going for seniors here, I think their spot on nationals is safe with JGPF and having a senior FS ready.

Thank god :p

He is on roster for the last 2 events cup events. Best to go to the next one in 2 weeks. The 4th Cup is going to be so weak, preliminary roster from Moscow has Danielian, Savosin, and Vetlugin. Danielian is beatable, Vetlugin I heard he is no better than he was in Lake Placid, Savosin is maybe (?) injured but I saw him at SA, no 3a, no quads, no 3/3. And on top of that Letfullin/Rukhin will be in Tallinn, Mozalev/Gumennik enroute to Warsaw but maybe Gumennik will show up (tight schedule if he does). So good chance for high placement at the 4th cup. Sviridenko may come. Petrov could come but his current condition............

Cup 5 will have definitely have Rukhin, Letfullin, Samoilov, Danielian and maybe Sviridenko.

But good luck to him.

Shoutout to Briukhanov.
Vislobokova literally ****ed up every landing and was already in tears in the ending pose.
Briukhanov was totally supportive and encouraging as they left the ice.
Guys, learn from him!

International assignments for Balabanova/Sviatchenko and Raskovalova/Butaev immediately! :mitchell:

Both are totally worth at least getting the realistic chance (in having TES) of getting to junior worlds!

Kinda crazy a good team like them will likely end up not making it to nationals.
Can we please ditch the 3rd dance group and get a 4th pairs group instead? Thank you RUS fed.

Ialin slips a lot through final lift but holds her up
fists to end, both seemed relieved.

I love the lift with the entrance when he just throws her up. Overall, this seems like 2 people doing their thing, no connection. A shame. I love them, but something is really off here. They have to hope for good roster at 2nd assignment.

If there are any rules, how does the tiebreaker work at Russian Cup series?
Best placement, combined total score,...?

So the 12 pairs for Nationals would be T/M, Z/E, B/K, P/K, M/G, E/K and Stolbova/Novoselov from GP and P/Rylov, A/Nazarychev, A/Kolesov, M/Mironov, and P/Pleshkov from JGP? And the rest of these pairs are competing for alternate spots in case Z/E doesn't recover or M/Mironov doesn't skate senior, etc....well OK. Just had to type that out to make sense of it in my head. :)
