Watching Canadian competitions on Dailymotion in the US can be very frustrating. It starts out great, then gradually slows to a stop, usually at the worst possible moment.

Today, the Lake Placid feed is working splendidly, and Minto is offering only PreNovice and PreJuvie and Juvie Ladies, so the choice is obvious.

Earlier I flipped on the pre-novice women randomly and saw a Fiona Bombardier. Is that Josee Chouinard and Jean-Michele Bombardier's daughter? She had some nice spins and a double axel whoever she was :) Good attempt at the 3L as well.

According to wikipedia, Josee and Jean-Michel have a daughter named Fiona that is 13 years old so that sounds like its her.

I just finished watching group 4 of the pre-novice ladies. last girl, Catherine (love her name, hahaha) Gagnon Lacombe skated really well and won the group. 2nd to last girl, Julianne Lussier had to skate her "Flashdance" number in practice leotards---guess her dress isn't ready yet. And that's all I got

I can personally confirm that Jean-Michel was at Minto to support his daughter yesterday :)

By the way, she finished third after the SP in Pre-Novice Ladies Group 4.

Thanks for the update. Pity her group is skating this morning in the rink with no streaming. Will have to look for the SP replay on the dailymotion site.

Enjoy the skating!

I'm volunteering at the admission desk - a long shift yesterday and shifts today and tomorrow. I'm off shortly to see some skating before my shift starts an may see Fiona's FS :)

very impressed with Michelle Lee from Hamilton - little tiny thing but lovely rotated jumps in pre novice - was first in group three short.

I'm getting ready to watch the junior men SP. Wow every warmup group has at least one JGP bound competitor so hopefully we will see some good skating!

I figured out how to cast the stream from my iPad to my new 50 inch smart TV, so I'm really excited to watch all the skating this week-end!

I caught the end of the novice men. The quality of the video stream is excellent as usual! Well done Skate Canada!

Circelli made a good attempt at the triple axel but fell. The rest was good including a triple lutz triple toe combo. Score was 67 something which seems pretty good; not sure what scores to expect with some of the new rules and GOE.

Orzel has Orser and Barkell at the boards. He was coached by Eva Najarro before. Does anyone know when he moved?

This summer. His jumps look better than at JW. Ran into the boards on his 3lz/3t. Everything else clean. 74.36

He just ran out of room to do the combo and bumped into the boards. I loved this music and program for him. I think things look good for the Canadian men the next few years. I'd love to see Orzel develop some consistency because I think he could great!

Simard has really cool music. Can anybody identify it? I know it but can't name it! I think the 2a was clean but errors on other jumps and fall on combo. 43.10
