Last time I was there, they had a big hockey game in the middle of the event. They didn't have any trouble drawing a hockey crowd.

US Classic starts tomorrow. Notes for anyone coming
- When you get to the arena (Steiner) - you go upstairs to the seats and enter from the top. That's one reason the bottom rows always look so empty - everyone is at the top.
- The second arena is right next to the main arena - go through the doors at the top to go back and forth. The second arena only has 3-4 rows of seats above the ice. The main arena seats about 1500 if full. It won't be full.
- The seating is bleachers. They are hard after a long day. Bring a cushion.
- Tickets will be available at the door. This is a very relaxed event. Results are posted on the wall and USFSA usually has a computer screen set up with current results. Skaters warm up around the concourse - please watch out for them.
- You can walk around the top of the arena for exercise. 7 laps equals a mile - there used to be a plaque but it has disappeared.
- There is a refreshment stand on the concourse - standard fair. Not bad. The hot chocolate is quite good.
- On Saturday it will be a zoo outside with the tailgate party for the Utah-Washington football game. It's fun to walk around outside. You can get in and out of the parking lot if you have to but it's not easy. Best plan is to come before noon, park, and stay put.
- It's still on the warm side here. Upper 80's and low 90's in the daytime - low 60's at night. It's been a dry year but September is always great weather. You can go outside to warm up and sit on the grass.

Maybe there are no female skaters in Canada....the 9 warmup groups are all in our heads.
They should send a few girls out. Shit happensMaybe SC has decided to wait until Nationals and then send people out? The problem with that is it will be too late for 4CC’s. They have sent a few out already, but if Gabby doesn’t show up at Nationals it will be interesting. If Sarah Tamura doesn’t have the 4CC’s score it would have been a good idea to send her out.
