This seemed like the right place to put this - an interview with Joanne Rochette on CBC's Players Own Voice.

https://podcast-a.akamaihd.net/mp3/podcasts/playersownvoice-OVzQbjNl-20190217.mp3
Thanks! Here's the summary:

Joannie Rochette on skating her way to med school [mp3 file: runs 00:32:11]

Figure skating can open a lot of career doors - but becoming a doctor? Olympic figure skater, Joannie Rochette, soon to be Doctor Rochette, says it's an easy fit. All those long, lonely hours of focus and practise set her up perfectly for the long lonely hours of studying in med school. On this week's POV, host Anastasia Bucsis and Joannie look back on the skater's glorious career - 2010 Olympic bronze, World silver medalist, Four Continents silver, Grand Prix Final bronze, six-time Canadian champion, and the moment that had Canadians holding their breath - when Joannie skated in Vancouver 2010, only a couple of days after her mother's fatal heart attack.

Host Anastasia Bucsis, Two-time Canadian Olympic speedskater, brings her unique backstory to funny, friendly conversations with high performance athletes. No formulaic jock talk here ... these are buddies who understand each other, and help us do the same.

ETA that the interview was published on February 19, 2019: https://www.cbc.ca/sports/podcasts/players-own-voice/joannie-rochette-pov-podcast-1.5018048

Larkyn Austman thread about her retirement from competition (announced by her last night): https://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/th...r-retirement-from-competitive-skating.105613/

Replying to @AngieNikodinovLove's post here:
I was looking forward to seeing how she [Austman] could develop more... especially since Osmond is done, Daleman not at her best, Pineault retiring(?), Chartrand all over the place, and no other real strong seniors yet.
I posted about Alicia Pineault in this thread about a month ago - she's still planning to continue competing:
I saw on Alicia's social media that she was featured in the Sunday editions of both Le Journal de Montréal and Le Journal de Québec as one of 16 finalists in their annual "Young Athlete Scholarships" competition :): https://www.journaldemontreal.com/2019/03/11/bourses-detudes-jeunes-athletes-2019

Direct link to read her PORTRAIT D’UNE ATHLÈTE page (in French): https://storage.quebecormedia.com/v...BE2019_Publireportage_31mars_FINAL_NOCROP.pdf
IIRC, Véronik Mallet is practicing the harder triples and I'm sure Aurora Cotop will continue to improve with Ravi Walia.

Alison Schumacher's primary coach is Lee Barkell so if he moves to the Granite Club, as was tweeted yesterday by IFS, I assume she will go with him.

ETA a partial list of women who attended the NextGen Camp last week:

Alison Schumacher S7
Olivia Gran S9
Emily Bausback S10
Sarah-Maude Blanchard S13 (added - refer to RoseRed's post below)
Hannah Dawson J1
Madeline Schizas J2
Emma Bulawka J4
Amelia Orzel J11
Catherine Carle J25 at Challenge
Mélaurie Boivin N2
Melody Zhu N4
Vienna Harwood N7

I wonder if Hannah Dawson is moving up. I haven't heard anything. Her jumps still need work, but shoot, so do most of the current Canadian senior ladies'.

She went to next gen camp so who knows. She could compete domestically in Senior but internationally still junior.

Does anyone know when Kaiya Ruiter (2019 Canadians/Canada Games Novice champion and Bavarian Open Advanced Novice Girls I bronze medalist) will turn 13?

I also saw that Sarah-Maude Blanchard was at Camp. She's the only one I saw who's not already on your list.

Aurora Cotop was there in a leadership role (not part of the team I believe), along with Conrad Orzel and Marjorie Lajoie.
