Wow! It's interesting that the top 5 ladies out of the first round are younger competitors, while Mirai and Courtney struggled. Maybe that point bonus for 3-3s at lower levels is already doing some good?
I can't wait to see the men bring out the quads.

Max's 4T looked so great last night and is looking great in warm-up today. I have no idea why he didn't do it in competitions and focused on the 4S.

I'm excited for the team event!

That was a nice 4T from Max, I agree. I also liked the 3axel 1/2 loop 3sal. Interesting. If he can do 4 quads and pile on the jump combos, who knows. He's officially back on the radar now though IMO (with many others).

Maybe I am too sleepy right now but 4 quads? Unless he brings the loop or the Lutz I don't think he would do that for his FS because that would mean repeating the sal and the toe and he could only do one 3A. And with the incredibly pretty state of his 3As yesterday that would be a real shame to leave one out.

It hasn't always been this pretty. When he first started trying it he had tons of problems regulating his speed going into it and it was a bit of a disaster. The sal is still more reliable for him.

I am still sad this event hasn't been sanctioned properly and Brendan is absent.
