#2 KAETLYN OSMOND : CANADA'S SWEETHEART

I’m not so sure. I think she knows it’s late in her career to try to start training these. With her history of injuries, I think she’d rather not take the risk of having to endure another one. Not sure she’d have it in her to rebound again. She’s been reluctant to even attempt to push off jumps into the back half of the program. I think she’s content doing her thing. If she stays on top in Canada for long enough to make the next Olympics I could see her just being focused on the team.

That being said she has the technique and hang time to potentially squeeze out one more rotation. I just don’t see it being her strategy. And she hates Axel jumps.
QUAD FLIP!!

Rumour has it that Daleman has a 4T which is one of the reasons I think she struggled with her 3T, 3T at some competitions this season. Her timing is off.

Rumor also had it that Daleman would attempt the jump at Nationals, and she did not. I think this might just be too much buzz about nothing. If she is landing the 4T in practice, it's quite remarkable, but that does not mean we will see it in competition.

Didn't she have pneumonia at Nationals? That would be a pretty good reason to scrap that plan.

But yes she was sick at nationals (or just before nationals)!

Well that's why I said she had a streak of bad luck this season (Canadians as you mentioned, ankle injury before the free skate at Worlds, also a medical issue in the off-season that led to lost training time). But I was taking issue with the "always sick/injured at competitions." Two competitions is not always.

How can someone who struggles so much with the 3-loop end up having one of the best 3-loops?

Ravi has always said it's arguably her best jump in practice.
It was the last jump she was adding to her competitive repetoire and she was adding it when she was suffering or coming back from injuries, so the timing was bad. Hit rate was low and she lost confidence in it.
She got the 3F/3T going in 2017 and then the 3L in 2018.
She's fine with it now.

She actually said that the broken leg was the reason she finally got the loop. For a while it was the only one she was allowed to work on IIRC and that made her finally get it down.

Yes it was that and a change in technique that she described a few times (how she uses her hips etc but I forgot her exact words) that made her loop so good in practice.

It's the post-season, but Kaetlyn Osmond can't stop, won't stop: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/newfoundland-labrador/osmond-celebration-tour-1.4618029
Marystown, where Osmond was born and lived until moving to Quebec when she was seven, is hosting several events this weekend in her honour.
The celebrations began on Friday morning, when the provincial government announced that the Burin Peninsula Highway from Red Harbour to Marystown will be renamed Osmond Way.
She's been so busy this season that she hasn't thought about what her next goals are.
"I want to keep competing and seeing what else I can accomplish, see if I can win more competitions and also just challenge myself to see what else I can bring to the table."
The next Olympics are a long four years away — not Osmond's focus, yet, but still in her mind.
"Four years is a really long time to think about, but the Olympic Games are so much fun," she said.

Sorry, not sorry, but not even close. One a natural beauty and another well, depending on the day, but not always natural. That courtroom thingy was one of my last memories of NB...and still to this day 'hard' to forget.

LOL, maybe its the smile and overall expression.. but sometimes I think she does resemble her.
