Also from CSKA, coached by Sergei Davydov. She was 4th at Junior nationals for younger age this season

Maxim Zavozin (ex ice dancer, who is now working in CSKA) is his step-father

They are from Kirov, from the school, where Oksana Domnina, Monko&Khaliavin started skating

From Lyapina's group and are coached by Ksenia Monko,
Lukinskaya/Rodin also train in Lyapina's group

He's Denis Samokhin's son and the kids train in Samokhin's group

I really liked Pestova. She has a lot of promise.

Russian figure skating star Medvedeva makes debut as TV host: https://www.rt.com/sport/422946-evgenia-medvedeva-figure-skating-tv-show/
Two-time Olympic silver medalist Evgenia Medvedeva has made her debut as a presenter of a new figure skating TV show aired on Russian television.
Medvedeva debuted on Channel One’s ‘Ice Age – Kids’ show on Sunday. She co-hosted the program together with 2002 Olympic champion Alexei Yagudin, who has anchored the ‘Ice Age’ shows since 2013.
‘Ice Age’ is the Russian equivalent of the American reality competition ‘Skating with the stars,’ which features performances by prominent figure skaters who have teamed up with celebrities. Every week the pair with the lowest scores from the judges and fewest number of viewer votes are eliminated from the show.
Medvedeva, who is taking a break from competition due to a leg injury, was invited to host the kids’ version of the show. Children aged from four to 11 are allowed to take part in the competition, where four strict judges will pick their own teams through several talent search rounds.

Will this by ave an impact on whether Medvedeva continues to skate competitively ?

no. only injury issues will affect Medvedeva. she is very determined to stay for next Olympics, said so in several interviews recently. the doctors will evaluate her in early May, for better picture. Ice Age was filmed before her departure to Japan, both series were done in 1 take, and took Med just few hours to film her segment (with no consequence on her time).

Thanks. I was concerned that it was going to take away from training time, and was a first step in fading into the darkness.

Med's next medical evaluation (said in the press) to take place on May 5th. Then she'll know how to proceed with training. She, as you probably know, is now skating in Japan in shows, and one of her contract conditions for the show numbers was "no jumps or spins, just gliding", fortunately Japanese organizers accepted them.

WOW! Good for her.

So I’ve been catching up on this show this weekend, and I just have to say, Averbukh’s voice...

:scream: 😱

Add-on, seeing kids eliminated made all the feels come out:wuzrobbed

The only part of elimination segments that i don't like is leaving the eliminated skater/s standing in the middle of the rink alone and continuation of critique. I would have all 3 teams sitting on the bench in k-n-c, give all 3 their critique, then name 2 teams/skaters who will proceed, and let the loosing one/s leave quickly. I am sure the kids and parents don't like the close-ups of their faces with tears.

"big tunes of 21 century" - single skaters

the judges:
Oleg Vasiliev, Adelina Sotnikova, Natalia Bestemianova, Gennady Karponosov, TAT

They eliminated 3 skaters in the end, I think it was better than before. :)
