Wow, this one hit me like a ton of bricks. She has been a fixture in movies for my entire life. I didn't realize she was quite this old, but 79 is still young for someone who was still actively flming, seemed to be in great shape, and without obvious health issues. RIP to one of the best!

I totally loved Diane Keaton. One of my favorite movies was Baby Boomers. She was such a versatile actress, and actor James Spader was so young in the movie.

I'm also devastated with John Lodge passing away. He and Justin Hayward blended so well together, and it became their signature sound along with other members of the band. I've been listening to one of my favorite songs from their album, Long Distance voyager.

RIP, John. You will always be a legend.

The family stone is probably one my favorite movies, because there’s a Cray Cray SJP in it and a wide range of great actors. I watch it every Christmas and usually one more time throughout the year.

Coming home from Spain last month It was one of the movies on the British Airways catalog of movies so I watched it again.

I remember about 8–10 years ago I was walking down my street in West Hollywood to the big gay Starbucks and the driveway entrance is before the Starbucks into the parking garage and as I was walking past the entrance, Diane Keaton was pulling out and she had to stop and I walked right in front of her and I was like oh that’s Diane Keaton.

I met her at the one big Hollywood party I got to go to, raising funds for gun control. She and other stars were there because President Clinton came to the event. And she was just as star-struck by him as every other woman in the universe was if they got close-up. It was cute to watch.

Keaton was fabulously talented and got more stunning as she got older. RIP

NPR host Scott Simon contended she was the first real human being to host a regular evening newscast. Stamberg even knit while sitting in front of the microphone at All Things Considered.

I listened to her talking about her mother-in-law's cranberry relish recipe over the decades and finally made it when I was alone on Thanksgiving during the height of the pandemic. It sounds terrible, but it does taste terrific.

I will be in Mexico on Thanksgiving this year, but I will be making the relish at some point in the next two and a half months.

China said goodbye to their Nobel laureate Physicist Chen-Ning Yang. In 1956 he co-authored a set of equations with American physicist Robert Mills which made a major contribution to subatomic Physics. The Yang-Mills theory shows that 3 of 4 fundamental forces in nature (electromagnetic, weak interaction, strong interaction) operated as one physical field. They were awarded the Nobel prize in physics in 1957. Yang passed away at age 103.

That was a life well lived.

RIP professor Nobel Laureate Yang.

Chinese President Xi sent a wreath for Yang’s funeral. Many other top Chinese dignitaries did too.

Oh my, June Lockhart died. I was a big Lost in Space fan and Lassie was a fun childhood memory.

I still tell my dog all the time when he barks "What's the matter, Lassie? Did Timmy fall down a well?" Then my husband and I laugh hysterically while the dog looks at us like we're crazy. (He's not wrong.)

That article about Lockhart was interesting. She lived to be 100 and still read the newspapers everyday!

I met her at the TCM film festival once, she was I think her 90s (I cant figure out pre covid years) and was so happy to talk about movies she made as a teen and could remember everything.

I saw Prunella Scales as Coral Browne and Elizabeth II in Single Spies. I still think back to her performances all these years later. She was an actress out of the top drawer.

Swedish actor Björn Andrésen who rose to stardom in 1971 as a 16-year-old in Visconti's "Death in Venice" died on 25th October.
I highly recommend the documentary about him "The Most Beautiful Boy In The World", it is really heartbreaking.
