In Memoriam

I loved Sophie Kinsella's books. Good old romantic comedies. It wasn't until I read her latest, expecting another beach read, that I found out about her struggle with aggressive brain cancer. It is called "What Does it Feel Like." It is a heartbreaking read. I am so sorry for her family and I will miss her novels that always made me laugh. And on that note, if you have only seen the Shopaholic movie, go read some of her books. That book was given the Hollywood treatment and like so many others it was ruined.

I downloaded and read it today. (Short book but as you say @ilovesalchows heartbreaking)

As she acknowledges in that book, she really was the Queen of happy endings.

I only read about 3 of her books because I found the “happy ending” style she had rather repetitive.

I think I have ready every book of hers. Loved most of them because they made me laugh and laugh and laugh (most of them, especially SHopoholic and S Takes Manhattan, Gets Married, etc
