Downtown Jason Brown - Let the Good Times Roll (uber thread #2)

Jason's free looks beautiful but there's a sense of bitterness and regret to the song that makes me sad he's using it as his goodbye program. In any case, there are going to be a lot of moist eyes in the audience.

I was in Sun Valley ID last weekend, and got to see Jason and Rohene Ward, among many skaters at the rink at the Sun Valley Lodge. I really appreciated how they featured so many local skaters. The following morning I briefly lobbychicked him and his parents (who are lovely) at brunch. He is about as genuine as they come, and I made a point of thanking his parents for everything they had done to bring the bright light that is Jason to the international skating world.

Jason seems to be scheduled to compete in CS Trialeti Trophy in Georgia (Oct 8-11, 2025).
It seems there is a live stream available for a fee.

ETA: Jason is listed for the CS Denis Ten Memorial Challenge (October 1-4), and his IGS indicates that he is traveling to Kazakhstan. Did Ice Stars post incorrect information about the Trialeti Trophy?

Jason Brown did another Q and A during his stay in Japan for Friends on Ice show.

He talks about his programs, costume, vlog, the goals for this season, etc.

On his SP Riverdance:
...my long part of this year is so personal, with such a personal story, that almost felt like the long was for me, and then I was able to, like, give back in the short, and the short was for you guys, and I'm just so overwhelmed and so grateful for all the support over the years that this short program is kind of like my gift to the audience and the fans and everyone that's been supporting me throughout my career as just like a thank you, and we're kind of celebrating it together, and we're in it together.

On his FS Say Something:
I've always struggled throughout my career to speak up and use my voice and advocate for myself, and I really wanted to… have a program that represented that and showed the growth that I was making, not only as a person and not only as a skater, but as a person on the ice as well.
And so I really wanted to… do something that was so personal, and tell a story about really speaking up and using your voice and finding your voice.
(I apologize if I didn't write everything down - he speaks pretty fast, lol)

I find it interesting that both of the top two US men talk about their 'voice' in relation to their free skate this year.

I also wonder how he manages to carry four suitcases at the same time on his own 😂
