This is one program "repeat" I can totally get behind! The original was the free, right?
Yes, the 2013-2014 original was the free program. I saw Rohene refer to the new SP on Faceook as Riverdance 3.0This is one program "repeat" I can totally get behind! The original was the free, right?
Yes, a bit of sadness but he's giving his fans something they already love and appreciate about him and making it even more memorable.Jason's free looks beautiful but there's a sense of bitterness and regret to the song that makes me sad he's using it as his goodbye program. In any case, there are going to be a lot of moist eyes in the audience.
...my long part of this year is so personal, with such a personal story, that almost felt like the long was for me, and then I was able to, like, give back in the short, and the short was for you guys, and I'm just so overwhelmed and so grateful for all the support over the years that this short program is kind of like my gift to the audience and the fans and everyone that's been supporting me throughout my career as just like a thank you, and we're kind of celebrating it together, and we're in it together.
(I apologize if I didn't write everything down - he speaks pretty fast, lol)I've always struggled throughout my career to speak up and use my voice and advocate for myself, and I really wanted to… have a program that represented that and showed the growth that I was making, not only as a person and not only as a skater, but as a person on the ice as well.
And so I really wanted to… do something that was so personal, and tell a story about really speaking up and using your voice and finding your voice.
Jason seems quite fit early on in the season. I like the layout of the LP. It's more challenging. I wonder, if he's feeling adventurous, if he would move a 3A pass to the 2nd half, maybe repeat the Lutz instead of Flip. IDK. Squeeze out another couple of points ....
Doesn't Jason frequently receive an edge call on his lutz, or at least a !? If so, he's better off with the flip executed well.Jason seems quite fit early on in the season. No, I don't recall seeing any edge call for his lutz, at least in in recent years. That said, his flip is such a beautiful jump - I've always felt like it was his easiest, most comfortable jump. Back in the days when he was still attempting quads, first toe then salchow, I wondered if he might have done better trying with the flip, despite the fact that it's harder in general.Doesn't Jason frequently receive an edge call on his lutz, or at least a !? Anyway, I look forward to seeing him develop these programs over the course of the season.
He continues to stay in the top 20 in the world (ISU Standings) and often places better than men with quads. So there's that.He has no choice as the worst of the skaters are performing multiple Quads! Jason doesn't even have 1, so he needs to either step it up or get TF out! The men can only get so far in artistic pt. gathering! It's a more physical even now; esp. for the men!![]()

This is true. His PCS are always high, so he can get close to the podium (or on it) at events even if he makes a few mistakes on the jumps. He continues to stay in the top 20 in the world (ISU Standings) and often places better than men with quads. So there's that.
