RIP Robert Redford

Here’s a forgotten one: Sneakers, with Sidney Poitier and River Phoenix. Fun movie! Rest in peace dear man.
The English department at my university actually sometimes gave away some vhs they didn't need anymore. I grabbed this movie because I love Redford and River Phoenix.

Still have to watch it at some point, but who has a vcr these days?

My first adult man crush, as a pre-teen. If I had known he was a couple years younger than my father I might have thought differently!

Great actor, for sure.

Surprised at how sad I felt when I read about his passing. I don’t see many movies but I did see several of his (both as an actor and as a director) and enjoyed them all. I also watch old TV shows from the fifties and sixties and he had many roles on these shows. Two I’ve seen recently are the already mentioned Twilight Zone and an early Perry Mason where he played an obnoxious, greedy son.

my favorite part of his is his twilight episode episode. no offense to the dozens of things he did afterwards but he was so perfectly cast in that.

I remember my 8th grade English teacher was OBSESSED with him. She had a poster of him in "The Electric Horseman" on the wall of her home room.

His creation of Sundance catapulted independent film to incredible heights, and introduced talents like Tarantino, Steven Soderbergh, Chloe Zhao and Paul Thomas Anderson. I think Sundance will truly be the legacy that outshine even his best performances.
