But as for R&J, if Z/K had to pick it, I'm glad they went with Prokofiev. I love Dance of the Knights.

Eh. I meant from a coaching standpoint - Igor's teams usually go the classic warhorse route, regardless who does the choreo.

I thought they had been pretty clear in some recent interviews that Benoit wasn’t willing to choreograph for them unless he got complete creative control.

I’m assuming it’ll be a little different knowing him and the specific cuts he chose.

If you’re going to go warhorse, at least it’s one that’s a pleasure to listen to. Loved Yoshida/Moritas Prokofievs r+j last season.

I don't know that just because Benoit is the choreographer it will have many interesting music choices. I don't think he went far out of the box on Bradie's "Tosca" program.

I don't mind this warhorse for this team. I think a big, sweeping score like "R&J" suits them, especially with his classical lines and posture.

Honestly, if Z/K do Romeo and Juliet as Romeo and Juliet, I will probably love it. I'm a sucker for Prokofiev. If they do a "we're just using the music of Romeo and Juliet to tell a different story" thing like they did with Beauty and the Beast, I will be annoyed all year.

We’re proud to share the second chapter of this story. A continuation of vision and spirit, it is a tribute to creation, transcendence, and the touch of the divine.

This free program is inspired by Michelangelo’s Creation of Adam. In that moment, the image of God is pressed into the form of man, a spark passed from eternity into flesh. The gesture carries both power and vulnerability, beauty and faith. A tension where humanity first finds its soul.

Each movement in the program seeks to echo that spark, where art becomes life and life becomes art.
