There are rental lockers at TD Garden. $15. In the FAQs, scroll down to "Attending the Event" and then near the bottom click on "On Site Bag Storage."

FYI - I checked out the ground floor of TD Garden (which is also the North Station commuter rail concourse) earlier tonight.

The "mobile locker" is outside the east exit at ground level. But they're not physical lockers like you normally see at, say, European train stations. Instead, it's a staffed box truck with racks inside. There were two dudes holding down the fort tonight. They said they'd be around next week for Worlds and will stick around until 45 minutes after an event ends. Unless you know that you're looking for a truck, it's not immediately obvious to the eye, even with small, portable, light-blue "mobile locker" signs at knee level, because the east exit is also a loading zone.

As for the commuter rail concourse, it's really compact. There's a Dunkin's (actually, two of them! just steps from each other!!! one outside the fare gates, and another just inside), a Starbucks, and a McDonald's. So if you have the mobile apps - and cravings - for any of these, you could order at the end of an event, before you head down the escalators to ground level, and find your orders ready by the time you get there. Just remember to order at the Dunkin's outside the fare gates. ;)

Just outside the concourse, at ground level, is the Star Market (supermarket) and Banners Kitchen (ginormous sports bar) that I mentioned earlier in this thread. Directly across Causeway Street are numerous new, large sports bars, like A&B and Tavern in the Square. And along the side streets leading south from TD Garden are numerous other sports bars and pubs, both modern and old-school.

Did you go into (Food)Hub Hall?

I have to warn that we have a Tavern on the Square in my town (I guess it's a small chain), and the food was extremely mediocre the few times we went there. (But perhaps still better than arena food? )

@UMBS Go Blue Is the Starbucks inside the commuter rail fare gates, or outside it??

@Cayuse did you have a question about the food hall? I was in there a couple weeks ago. There are a lot of different options foodwise, everything from pizza to ramen noodles to sandwiches and much more. I think there are like 17 food vendors. Seating is limited, though.

For the “tick every box” crowd. Today is a great day to confirm your hotel reservation and check in time. If your check in time is during a session, ask about early check in and/or luggage storage options. And if you booked multiple hotels, don’t forget to cancel everything but your backup.

Just canceled all my backups yesterday after my credit card suddenly had all these extra charges :p

Email below from the Worlds organizers. Torg pizza stuffie back on my packing list!

We heard you!

We understand that fans were disappointed by our recently announced stuffed animal/plushie policy for next week’s event. After discussing the issue with TD Garden, we’re happy to share that the policy has been amended.

The updated policy is as follows:

Stuffed animals and plush items will be allowed inside the venue but may require additional security screening. Each guest may bring up to three small to medium-sized plush items, and if possible, they should fit within the event’s bag policy dimensions (14″ x 14″ x 6″).

Thank you for your feedback and for being a part of this special event. We appreciate your support and can’t wait to see you there!

Since you seem to have done such a thorough research - would you mind if I ask you which one did you end up choosing?;)

Neither here nor there, but I'm looking through my old emails and I can't find an itemized receipt for the all event tickets I purchased. Go figure...

Hard to believe it is finally here!

Hey y’all, I just got accepted as a volunteer, I’m going to be extra shady and going through all of your bags with a fine tooth comb!
Have fun!
lol I would hope they don’t have volunteers on security
It’s okay volunteers are only security back of the house, ensuring media don’t access skater areas etc the venue has paid staff to check your bags!

Practice stream info from Jackie Wong!

Practice cam info for #WorldFigure
  • Every practice from the practice rink will be livestreamed on Peacock
  • Practice sessions uploaded to USFS YouTube after the livestream
  • There will be a few practices with commentary (hosted by Jean-Luc Baker, and I will join for a few TBD)
ETA - Jackie has since confirmed there will be no stream for the practices at the main rink.

But, seeing that the main rink practices are open to ticket holders, this is the best solution to enable fans to be able to get decent practice reports from both venues.

Additional details about the AAPI event on Sat Mar 29 were posted by National Association of Asian American Professionals.
Sounds great: Nathan, Vincent, Mirai, Kristi, Vera Wang, "special surprise guests," and more.

Update: Mirai no longer is shown in the revised graphic from NAAAP tonight.
Mentioning in case it would change anyone's mind about signing up for the Celebrating AAPI event.
(Nathan, Vincent, and Kristi still are shown. Shibs have been added.)

The DoubleTree Downtown. I got it for just over $100 a night, no resort fee due, will get money back after completing my stay, and it's right next to a train station.
Out of curiosity, I checked the rate for this hotel and it is now over $300 per night!

How did you find such a good deal; do you just keep checking or use some kind of app/website?

All one has to do at any time for flights and hotels is use Google and set alerts-- you get emails when the prices change. I posted about the deal upthread when it dropped that low.

As a general comment, I don't think people should use anything except Google Flights and Google Hotels for planning their trips. It compares all of the prices immediately rather than one having to shift through 50 different travel pages to compare everything.

Well, I'd also check the rep of some of the sites the Google aggregator uses before booking. And also verifying with the hotel that they have your reservation after you book.

I once booked a hotel in Colorado Springs and between making my reservation and dates of travel it closed (forever). The third party website I reserved through was clueless about it happening. Luckily I found out before arriving and they moved me to a different hotel, but it was still rather a nightmare.

Of course, you should always verify your reservation every time in general even if you book directly through a hotel website!

I've been using Google Flights for over a decade now and I am surprised every time I hear people (who travel more than average) don't know anything about it. I think the Hotels part is newer within the last 5 years, but it's been my go-to since it showed up, too. A simple click from off-->on for the price tracker and then you get your email notifications, and they also give a price history and suggestion on whether to book or if it is likely go to cheaper.

I don't do "X" (ex-Twitter) so I will post this question here in case Jackie Wong has an answer. When are the practice group entries going to be posted somewhere? Especially the ones who are skating in the TD Garden practice groups next Tuesday. Do the skaters and coaches even know who else is in their practice group?

I'm sure the skaters and coaches have been sent the practice groups. Usually, the practice groups are posted publicly on the ISU site by now, not sure what the hold-up is.

FWIW:
For 2024 Montreal Worlds, the first day of practice was March 18, and the practice groups document was dated March 13.
For 2023 Saitama Worlds, the first day of practice was March 20, and the practice groups document was dated March 17.

For 2025 Boston Worlds, the first day of practice will be March 25.
I am as curious as anyone else, and I hope that we're at the "any day now" stage.

Really nice collab -

In case anyone is wondering, when the Grade of Execution beer was first announced in Dec, the press release said:
"In addition, the beer will be served at select events during the ISU World Figure Skating Championships® 2025 at the TD Garden."

(In addition to availability at the brewery's own locations and at Skating Club of Boston.
I hope the brewery's $1/pint donations 👏 to USFS Family Support Fund will apply to sales at TD Garden too.)
