No. If it had not erupted in a very long time and had not been releasing energy, lava, gas, etc with constant smaller eruptions, then that is the time to start getting worried. That would mean that it has become blocked, and the unreleased energy, etc, would build up over time until it literally blew its top with one enormous eruption.
